My monitor has a really flimsy power cord so you might want to make sure that's tightly secured into place.

I just tried to get my money back but apparently my warranty ran out even though I thought I purchased it with a 1
year warranty

keep arguing with them, and insist your monitors warranty is still good. insist it isn't your mistake, but theirs. If that doesn't work, ask to speak with their supervisor. they win when you give up, if you don't give up they will eventually get tired and cave. It might seem like a pretty shitty thing too do, but its not like your trying to rob them; you're just trying to get your moneys worth out of your investment.
