Hey guys and gals,

Australian Icebreaker team here, if you're looking to get involved into competitive tf2 we are here to announce an event we are organizing to help ease players into the scene.

What is Icebreaker?

Icebreaker is a mellow experience for new players looking to break(pun intended) into competitive tf2. The icebreaker mentor team welcomes anyone of any skill level. You'll be playing a couple of 30 minute games with a dedicated mentor to show you the ropes and cover the fundamentals of competitive tf2, this will help you break the ice.

So, when is it?

Icebreaker will be held on the 11th of September 7:00PM AEST, the event will run from 7pm+ until 10pm AEST however, you're welcome to stay as long as the mentors can stay awake!

Who is welcome?

Anyone is welcome. Icebreaker is aimed at brand new players, but, even if you have more experience, you're more than welcome to join in.

To RSVP, list your:

Sign ups close off on the 8th of September, how to sign up simply post your:

• Name - your steam name (try not to alias for the event, it makes it harder for the mentors to identify you)
• STEAMID*
• Class**
• Team Fortress 2 experience***

* If you're having trouble working out your STEAMID, you can click here for a guide on how to do it: goo.gl/XKcuLN

**If your preferred class is outside of the traditional combat classes, Soldier, Scout, Demo or Medic, you are still more than welcome to partake in our event! There is traditional 9v9 Highlander which myself and other mentors can help guide you into.

***Team Fortress 2 experience varies for all but, if you feel you can work out your level you can select one from or just let us know how good you think you are, any level is considered fine with us, don't worry if you're a casual player / frequent pubber / matchmaker / 6s player / highlander

Thanks for reading, if you're interested then please RSVP in the comments or shoot me a private message if you don't feel like leaving a comment.

Definitely, however it's not only for Oceanic players, anyone is welcome to sign up, as long as you are able to turn up at the stated time (Sunday morning for Europeans and very very early Sunday morning for Americans). We've already had quite a bit of interest from people from those timezones, and we'll be doing our best to accommodate them, including getting servers from different regions if necessary. So if any of you guys have friends who are interested in taking that first step into competitive, please let them know about this :)
