when i first got this new laptop it was working fine i could record tf2 with out any configs and everything set to high now i get alot of lagg can anyone help me fix this?

do you mean lag or do you mean low fps?

generally laptops overheat very easily, you might want to invest in a fan/cooling pad

Have you tried defragging or simply restoring to factory settings?
