i recently re-installed a config, and when i logged back into tf2, and all the default weapons looked like they we're from the 1998's does anyone have a solution? i've looked all over google, its gotten on my nerves.. :(

I'm not really sure what you mean. But you should really keep a backup of your current configs every time you change it.

What config are you using?
Try removing your config and launching the game with "-default" launch option then putting it back

http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=676916632 heres an example with the loose cannon, it does the same with the sniper rifle, the scope of the rifle looks like a rectangle instead of a perfect circle.

This is exactly what the config is supposed to do btw, don't use any maxframes kind of configs if you don't enjoy gamecube graphics

Try removing your config and launching the game with "-default" launch option then putting it back

-default doesn't change any settings, it only ignores them and sets them to default for that launch. -autoconfig is what they should have used (and even then it might need you to set the settings in the graphics panel, it seems weird on how it works)
