Get a grip you pansies, if you didn't wanna spoil a sports result for yourself you wouldn't turn on the sports channel. Your responsibility to avoid spoilers after a huge game.

Although spoilers aren't necessarily a thing that bugs me, I definitely sympathize with those who hate to be spoiled.

Maybe any news posts that have the results of a match in them should just be labeled like [RESULTS] ESEA S21 Grand Finals: RONIN vs. froyotech or something. People know what they're getting into by clicking a thread like that, y'know?

GGs to both teams, and big props to Ronin for being a fantastically supportive sponsor for their TF2 team.

I don't see that being fair. There's a lot of discussion on this forum that doesn't necessarily cover TF2, and visitors come here to get into it. People should be able to avoid spoilers about games if they can help it, especially a few hours after it is over. It's a lot easier to not put the spoiler in the thread title than it is to try your best to avoid it.

This isn't a sports channel, it's a community website with discussion on a wide range of topics. It takes zero effort to do the title as clockwork says and trying to hide behind that argument is silly. Sports sites are specifically for results, this website has multiple uses.

You don't gain anything from putting spoilers in the title but it does annoy quite a lot of people. Even if you don't think there's a problem with it personally you should see that it causes more trouble than it's worth.

I changed the title before I went to sleep. Either it reset itself or someone changed it back. I should have asked permission but it seemed glaringly obvious that posting spoilers in the title of the biggest NA match this year (that also occurred in the middle of the night/morning for most people) isn't a good idea.

Just of out curiosity: How many viewers did we get? I tuned in this morning after waking up and just caught the last ~10 minutes where there were still a little more than 2000 people watching. what was the peak?

We need a site like Fuzic.nl for TF2.

Sideshow is right, people say they avoid FB and Twitter and GoT or WD to avoid spoilers, why would this make it any difference?

Because we actually have the choice and power to moderate spoilers here.

You lose absolutely nothing by changing the title to what clockwork suggested.

I wonder how many of those complaining about spoilers are actually going to watch the whole VOD.

Are your minds blown when you watch a real esports tournament and people are live commenting on the score on twitter, threads, reddit, etc? This is not a long term solution, pushing the burden of responsibility onto coverage sites to censor their coverage.

The only reason we currently have the luxury to censor things if we wanted is because we're tiny and tftv is the only site for anything tf2 related.

This has been an issue for like 3 seasons, after so many complaints idk how u haven't realized yet that spoilers in the title do more harm than good. Also it takes literally 0 effort to have a spoiler free title.

Congratulations to Froyo tho, truly a great testament to b4nny's abilities and leadership.

Adding a spoiler tag and rewording the headline isn't censoring the coverage. I'm sure most people here would be way more satisfied with a shit clickbait title like "you'll never believe who won esea s21! you won't believe how long the vod is!" rather than "team won. If you didn't get to experience it live, tough shit, no atmosphere for you."

What about /r/globaloffensive where they put for example:

Natus Vincere vs Ninjas in Pyjamas / DreamHack Malmö 2016 Grand-Final / Post-Match Discussion (Spoilers)

Congrats to Froyotech, shame people have to argue about the title of the thread of all things and not talk about the match or champions.

The spoilers wouldn't be so bad if I expected the match to be played last night. It was 1am EST when the casters announced that the second BO3 would be played at a later date, and while they spoke for ~10 minutes about getting involved with competitive TF2, I went to bed like a reasonable human being.

Opened up TFTV to see if the second BO3 had been rescheduled yet, and the results are spoiled for me. Thanks!

Also my browser's homepage is tf.tv. Do you expect me to change my homepage so I don't see spoilers of a match I was unable to watch? No, I wasn't planning on watching the entire vod, but I did actually want to watch the last Bo3 so I could at least be a little surprised at the result.
