hi tf.tv,

so the issue I have has been happening for a while now, and it used to be OK but I'm getting tired of being unable to launch my steam games. so the issue here is, whenever I click a game (i.e. tf2 or csgo), it says I'm in game but after a while of waiting for it to actually launch, it says I'm online. I have to keep on trying again and again repeating the same process until the game actually launches. Does anyone know a solution to this? I haven't tried it with any other game other than tf2 or csgo since those are the only two games installed but it happens with both games. I've also tried verifying my cache for both games (unsuccessful), uninstalling steam and re-installing my games which was also un successful.

cpu: i5 3570k
video card: gtx 770
windows 7

i have this exact same problem with tf2, csgo, and rocket league

i've tried verifying game cache which didn't help, happens on both fullscreen and windowed. it "opens" but doesn't open then puts me back on online after a while

specs are i7 4790, integrated

You might want to take a look at this link:
https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=6218-USFX-5568&l=english
Another thing you can try is to reinstall Steam. You do this by deleting everything in your Steam folder except for, steamapps (contains your games), userdata (contains save files for some games) and Steam.exe. You then launch Steam, as an administrator just in case, and it'll download and install all the necessary files. Here is the link to the thread, where I got the information from: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2251720
If all of these don't work you can try to delete the Steam.exe file as well and download the Steam setup file from the website. This is what fixed the problem for me. I can't guarantee that it'll work though, even after taking all these steps.
Good luck!
