Med, Scout, LFT Low Open

Hey folks, I'm quitting HL next season and looking to focus all my attention on ESEA. I technically have a season of experience in ESEA but the team was an unmitigated disaster and died halfway through the season. I have a couple more seasons in UGC 6s and think I'd be comfortable in low Open. I'd like to be mid Open by the end of the season. We'll see if that happens.

Medic is my main. I've maincalled for nearly all of my teams but would be fine letting someone else call for the team if that's your style. I like healing scouts and I probably don't use arrows as much as I should.

I've played less scout but I'm currently looking for employment, meaning that I can grind DM and MGE all day and I'm hoping that my mechanics will improve. In general I'd say my scout gamesense is stronger than my mechanics.

My ideal team would have a fairly heavy scrim schedule on weeknights, and would have folks who enjoy the game enough to hop in mumble and review demos together during the day if they have time. I'm on EST and pretty much free all day except for 5:30-8:30ish.

I'm a friendly redneck. I like Texas, country music, and cooking, and I'm not a fan of anime.

I'd like to think I could be better than my previous seasons indicate. Give me a shot, my steam account is Sam Houston.

Looking for a team to backup for that would actually need me. Think I can play mid-open if you give me the chance. Would be willing to start if your main dropped out. Can pay my fees.

No longer LFT.

Sam's an all-around good dude in and out of game, he's got alright gamesense and comms, he just needs a solid pocket to protect him and a team that's willing to improve.

Save him from Highlander.

Bump.

My greatest claim to fame is that I once performed onstage with Otis Redding's grandson.

was really fun to play with, even on a dying team. if hes commited to tf2 again he'll be a great pickup.

I've been thinking about Otis Redding's grandson over the last week, and in retrospect I have no evidence he actually was who he said. All I knew is that he was black and could sing Sittin' On the Docks of the Bay.

You need this kind of self-reflection on your team. Try me out.

Bumping this because I'm looking for a team again after mine folded. I have all my fees paid. I'd love to start as medic but if a team needs a backup med I'd be willing to give it a shot depending on the circumstances. I don't think I'm a toxic teamkiller but you'll have to judge that for yourself I suppose.

Still LFT. Would prefer med. Think I can cut in in mid, very dedicated, love doing demo reviews. If you're team's gonna die because you don't have a med or scout, give me a shot. Want to improve.

Even though he has already found a team, I still feel the need to leave a comment, maybe he will LFT again (his teams always die (sorry Sam). Sam is by far the most knowledgeable person that I have ever had the pleasure of speaking with. Not only does he have a comprehensive knowledge of various TF2 maps and players, but he has studied it extensively since its inception. If I ever have any questions about anything even semi-pertinent to its history, he always has the answer. He also knows a ton about both meta game and positioning, not just for med but all classes. He is always down to go over a demo or STV with me and help me with both my positioning and game sense. It may seem like I am raving on and on about him, but he honestly has been given the short end of the stick, in the sense of team. He can't seem to land a spot on a team that plays through an entire season of ESEA, and trust me he deserves one. Not only will he boost your team's ability by tenfold, but he also brings a positive, inviting atmosphere into the mumble. Not only does he have a desire to improve, he also has a desire to learn more. He is honestly a joy to be around and play with and I will truly miss playing 6s with him, if there is any team that is looking for an incredibly competent medic, give Sam a shot.
