Should I get a new mouse?

I currently have a razer deathadder chroma which works perfectly fine and have had it for a few months. I am considering getting a zowie fk2 for christmas, as I may like it better. I have a very profound claw grip, and my hands are somewhat small.

I am wondering if anybody has experience with both, or just wants to give advice, and if it would be worth it to get a new mouse after such a short amount of time. I am also open to other mice, but I don't really like how the other ones hold like the logitech. I don't ever go to LAN.

I would look to see if there are any stores nearby where you could go in and physically see or hold some mice. That way you could get a better sense of the size/shape rather than just looking at pictures online.

Well I switched from a DA to a Zowie AM (similar to the FK) after noticing it always felt so heavy to move around, especially on a cloth pad. I loved the AM as soon as I started using it. It was so small and light. I use a half claw half palm sorta grip. I have large hands but the small ambidextrous mice feel perfect.

From the AM I went to the FK and loved it until I had sensor and coating issues. I now have a ZA11 and it's perfect.

I don't think I'll ever go back to an ergonomic mouse. I say if you have the extra money or if it's going to be a gift for Christmas go for it. If you don't love it, you may be able to return it. You'd have to check the warranty though.

That is also good advice. Probably would be the smart thing to do.

Thank you all. As for checking it out in a store, I would love too, it's just I have been to just about every hardware store in my area and none have any zowie mice. I may look around more but I don't think I could find one. Nobody I know has one either. Is there some other thing you would suggest? Could anyone possibly compare it to a deathadder? I'm liking the fk2 because it's lighter and smaller, which I would like, although the deathadder is fine, I just don't know if the fk would be better.

The other thing is, if I get it for Christmas which I plan on doing, and I don't like it, I can probably return it, and if I do like it, I can sell my deathadder for a pretty decent amount.

I've decided to get one, but I'm confused about the zowie ZA12 and the fk2. Is there any real difference? The size is practically the same. The fk2 is a bit cheaper but that is not a big deal.

If shipping wasn't so much I'd send you one of my broken FKs just so you could feel the shape

Aw thanks. I don't really feel comfortable giving out my address to anyone anyways, even though I know you are a reputable person. :D

I just realized that DA is deathadder and you now have a ZA11. How would you say it is to the fk? It's a bit bigger, but other than that is it the same?

yeah the only difference is the size and shape. theres more of a "hump" on the upper-rear of the mouse. supposedly uses the same sensor too.

Does that hump feel about the same as the deathadder?

Yeah, I just noticed that my palm does not rest on the mouse at all, just my fingertips and the very back of my hand on the very back of the mouse. I guess this would be a fingertip grip. With the DA, the back right of my hand touches the heel, and with an ambidextrous mouse I think it would touch it all which would improve control. I kind of like to lean the back of my hand on the very end of the mouse, I guess this would be the ass, so the ZA would be better in this respect. I don't think the FK2 would be too small though.

I don't really want a mouse the same as a deathadder, I'm looking for something that would be better suited to my grip and size, although the deathadder works well.

From the back of my hand where I actually touch to where my hand ends is about 16 cm. Length wise, I think the fk2 or ZA12 would be perfect, as they are just slightly smaller than the DA, which is a very tiny bit too long. As for the hump, my hand completely clears it on the DA, so I don't think it would matter on the zowie.

I think I'll go with the ZA12, just because you said that it feels smaller than the deathadder but I don't want to go too small. Then again, the FK2 is made specifically for my grip...

ugggggg lol

Edit: picture, great idea - If you need a different view I can provide that. Thanks so much guys <3

I know I'm lifting the mouse up so it may seem as if this is a different grip, but it's the exact same as normal, I assure you.
