Blue snowball vs snowball ice?

I'm looking at picking up one of these mics to place on my desk now that I got rid of my mx blue keyboard and am now using the much quieter mx browns. I'm wondering which you guys would recommend, the snowball or the snowball ice? I'll be using it primarily for mumble comms, and possibly voiceover commentary in the future.

The only difference is that the blue snowball (not the ice) has three settings. There is a front only setting (which is what you'll want). Setting two picks up all the sound in a room which would be good for recording a meeting or something like that. The difference between setting two and three is that setting three has a large volume drop as it was intended to record music. Get whichever is cheaper but it's worth knowing that some ice models are just regular models that don't have other working settings.

Hope this helps.

the blue snowball is a monster actually, i enabled "listen to myself" and put it on the opposite side of my desk and lightly scratched the stubble on my chin...

...fcking mic picked it up in full quality down to the hair.

this is a gift and a curse as if you have a loud keyboard, it becomes a VERY loud keyboard.

I use push to talk so I'm not tooooo worried about it picking up my keyboard, especially since I no longer use mx blues.

I use mx blacks and it isn't an issue at all. The only problem are the crickets out in the quad. It sounds like I'm about to be attacked.
