No, this isn't the end of times, but TF2Connexion's twilight. Indeed the mighty french league, a gateway to competitive Team Fortress 2 for french speakers, is about to end. From season to season, the number of participating teams is dropping and has led the staff to this conclusion, unable to find a way to differenciate TF2Connexion from a growing ETF2L or UGC.

But if the current state of TF2C isn't glorious, the pride remains, and with it the will to provide (for one last time) quality services and one day cup fun events one last time like no others can do!

Schedule

The schedule will be (roughly) as follows :

From september to november : TF2 Connexion season 16 : it will be the last regular season organised by the french website. So be sure to participate if you want games , TF2 items and our gorgeous medals, it's open to all european teams! You can register here until September 30 and expect first matches on Monday, October 5th.

Early november : GA'lloween 2015 : THIS COULD BE THE LAST FRENCH TF2 LAN SO COME WHILE IT'S STILL HAPPENING! We'll gladly help any european fellow with organisational questions on this very thread. Unlike insomnia events, french admins guarantee a minimum of 12 maps to be played by anyone, with 2 separate brackets in function of your skill level! Plus it's cheaper!(more informations on this thread later on)

December : last One Day Cups : GG200, BBall, and other fun gamemodes to celebrate Christmas!

All the TF2 Connexion staff invites you to enjoy this last season of what was a good adventure. New players or veterans, everyone is welcome!

As I said in the etf2l thread TF2C is one of the most amazing orgs in european tf2. Every french player should be proud of what this community org did for their scene, bringing in constant seasons, cups, events, contests with amazing prizes and sponsors. They deserve every praise. I'm sad it has come to this conclusion and I hope matchmaking can restore the hopes of a french league yet again.

Amazing work Twiggy, Fmapkmn, Poussin and all others involved. Always had very positive experiences with them.

I would love to play with the French TF2 community to practice my French, but I cannot commit to a full season of Euro TF2 of any form. If you guys kept up a PUG group/system, I would love to participate in that.

oh what a bad news. I've only participated in small cup once but was impressed by people who run this, by their hard work and dedication. Great to see how this small community league lasted for so long, 16 seasons! Reminds me of russian league that was closed after two seasons, french community should be proud of having these guys around.

Actually, we do not have propositions from non French teams.
For the Gamers Assembly (French LAN on last April), we worked with bk to come in France but it failed at the end.

We announced in preview the TF2 Connexion Tournament medals in TeamFortress TV.
Thanks for the french designers dak1ne, Gadget and Eric Smith from Valve to add our medals in the game.

The number of teams was 15 and it’s a problem for us as we have to make divisions of 8 teams .
We must also mention the teams who stop during the season, it’s like 25% and it’s really hard to manage a season with team who drop.
We are really sorry for all the teams that had registered.
