Hey, it's great you want to get into competitive, but this forum might not be the best place to do it. I recommend creating an account on http://www.ugcleague.net/forum/ and posting an LFT thread there. Some of the players in UGC League are also at your skill level, so it would be a good place to start. I would also suggest getting a feel for the competitive format by playing 'lobbies' at http://tf2center.com/lobbies . They are organized games with the setup that real competitive matches would use. You can also ask for a mentor to teach you the ins and outs of the competitive meta-game. Good luck, and have fun playing TF2!
