my answer to this riddle basically depends on the powers of what the guy trying to get you out can do. if he can literally like break a wall or something to get you out then i would tap on one side so he knows im there and he could just break that side or something. the box would get smaller but i would get out so it would be worth it

in this case, you are a normal person and everyone around you is normal. And you are assuming that people notice the box. A person can't hear the tapping if they aren't paying attention

I mean, you can accept that you can't get out of the box, but that defeats the purpose of the riddle all together. I'm wondeing if there is a way inside the riddle that works.

leave and break the box, call for help, and scream at the top of your lungs for help all at the same time so that you instantly get crushed, at that point you are dead, your body will eventually decompose and those decomposers will eventually get outside of the box, the carbon and various other materials will then be out of the box and that means you are technically out too i guess

What if the box is too small for anyone else to fit in where you were? Like by making the box so small no one else can be a victim.

The box would refit itself around the next person. I think i left that part out of the original riddle. Its something like "the box fits perfectly to whoever is inside so they can't move" or something like that.

If I had a phone I would text someone to help me get out.

I hate this kind of riddles because the rules aren't clear. I bet the answer is something like: If you just don't try to get out of the box, an unicorn will come in your rescue and since you don't have to answer him because unicorns don't talk, you can get out of the box and live happily ever after feeding carrots to your unicorn
