Hey all, I'm not very active here, and I never was that active, but the discussion about ESEA TF2 being in danger has brought me back to the comp scene as a potential competitor. Please read below. It's a lot, I know, and I'm sorry, but it all seems necessary.

I go by the alias mew, but I was previously active under the alias Action Hank in UGC Steel for two seasons, once as an all class backup where I played scout, pocket, roamer, and medic, and once as a starting medic.

Nowadays, I mostly watch matches and streams and I really enjoy the game.

But, the situation with TF2 seems dire to me. Maybe this isn't the case, but that's how it appears to me. I want to keep Open TF2 alive. I want to play to help do that.

I am PST and would prefer scrimming 6-8 PST, but I'm open to going until later and I'm available earlier, depending on the day (I attend college and can specify my schedule).

I am obviously not very good right now, given my break, and given I was already not that great. But, I want to offer myself up as any class but I think my best qualities involve aim and my ability to listen so I think scout or medic would be ideal. I say scout because I would play your strats and listen and I could enjoy that practice. I say medic because I have experience there and just need to get used to a new team. however, since my goal is to help preserve a competitive, multi-division NA TF2 scene, I will do whatever benefits your team.

tl;dr a not that great UGC player wants to play Low Open in order to help out a team that's desperate, will pay immediately, and will play any class but prefers scout/med. PST. in university but easy schedule.

EDIT: Cannot tryout or play from Jan. 2nd - 9th. BUT, I will still pay my required ESEA fee if a team needs a player and is willing to pick me up, regardless of the situation.

for any newer open team thats really serious about trying to improve and compete mew will be a good fit, as he too is serious about playing this upcoming season. hes an excellent communicator, a cognitive listener, and in general great conversationalist

also bonus if you have a girl gamer on your team she will likely be wooed by mew
