Play DayZ then you'll realize how shitty that game can be and you'll immediately come back to TF2.

I know this is going to sound weird but you should try messing with your tf2 settings. I like to change my hud, crosshair, and fps config when i get bored. Learning to play a new class can also help. Try and dm, mge, and pug with the new class you are trying to learn.

"Keeping the game fun" varies from person to person. To me, a pub is stress free environment where i can do whatever i want and not have to prove something to people.

All I do is Pug/Scrim, DM, or play orange.

It's loads of fun destroying bad players on orange. DM gets you instant action. And if you don't like playing comp 6v6 you prob shouldn't play.

If you're trying to find ways to keep a video game fun you should just cut back. Unless some miracle occurs you won't ever make a substantial sum of money from playing this game - it's just not worth it to play it like a job.

Just do something else. If you like your team and want to stay on it, just only play when your team scrims or periodically after if you feel the need.

If anything spend less time playing MGE and *more* time watching streams while doing other shit. Even just listening to the better streamers will get you thinking on a higher level.

playing with 1 team and being friends with them for awhile, i love improving with a group and the reliance on team chemistry and just your team in general, i like the projectiles and the movement... the game is something i genuinely love alot.

I think once I got to the level where I could pug and not be yelled at, playing for "fun" is no longer a goal. Instead my goal became "be really good at the game", and that's a goal for a lot of people, to become the next big Invite Superstar™.

Because playing 30+ hours a week isn't fun and it's not easy (if it was everyone would be Invite), it's a job at that point. I don't know, maybe some people really enjoy spending nearly all day playing a game, but I got sick of any game after more than a couple hours.

Nin2246how does one stay hooked in to tf2 for more than 50 hours a week?

thats a ton of fucking tf2
Just like 8 hours a day or so... I have no job, but I have a girlfriend and a social life so don't be thinking I am just a hot pocket eating machine.

Came up with an idea, I like to program/ hack and what not, so why not make an aim bot.

I do not like aim bots nor do I think they take any skill, but I do wish to know how to make one for shits and giggles.

8 HOURS A DAY. That's not a lot at all.

Maybe if Valve did something completely interesting for once with TF2 instead of theme-based weapon/hat updates with a new game mode every 2 years, the game would be a lot more interesting again after playing it since 2008.

If you're not having fun with TF2 as much as you wish you would, play another game more and only TF2 when necessary (scrims, dm practice) and eventually you'll say to yourself, "I feel like pubbing." So, you'll gather up some friends, have a good time and voila. Back into more areas of TF2 for a short while.

its all about playing with people you like, the majority of teams developed over the past few seasons consist of players who have been on the same team before which makes the game a lot more enjoyable.

this can be in any sense as well whether its scrimming, pugs,dm,mge mod, matches or even just watchin some games as well which ever floats your boat really. or maybe take a break for a bit and you'll come back feeling a bit refreshed and wanting to play more
