So a few months ago I traded all my tf2 stuff for csgo things and began betting. Well after a few big wins at g3 and esl one I had built up a pretty nice backpack worth over 800 ish dollars and I decided to start buying and selling keys. I first cashed out a bit of the money and then kept my knife and like 380 dollars on paypal to buy and sell keys with. Well first thing that happened was a guy with a 11 year account and some rep took $180 dollars when I went to go buy 100 keys from him so I filed a dispute and after 3 calls and 4 emails nothing was done even though in the past they had helped me with the same thing in tf2 and I know many other people that have gotten their money back. I provided chat logs, his steam profile, my inventory history and everything. So once this happened I decided to take out all the money from my PayPal and give up and well this morning I received an email and I now have -182 dollars in PayPal. A guy I had sold one of my knifes to used a account he hacked or stole or something to buy the knife from me and so they took the money from my account without letting me get a chance to explain. Has this happened to anyone else? Or does anybody have any good advice to get this solved because I really do not want to have to sell my last csgo item or put money back into paypal that I just took out to buy a new headset and other things. Thanks for any help in advance

Theres literally nothing u can do

lol selling electronic merchandise is a gamble on paypal, since theres no proof of transaction. Screenshot dont count paypals ToS was writen by the slimiest lawyers in existance

Also if ur paypal account is verified you need to pay the balance or it will effect your credit store as a non payment

I never verified it just had my debit card which I removed 2 days ago after PayPal wouldn't do anything about the scam. Do I still need to pay it or what?

na i think ur good, most people verify their paypal accounts by using name/address/dob/ssn, which leaves them vulnerable to back charges and blackmarks on their credit score.

the only issue is that the address linked to your debit will probably get flagged in paypals database, so if you try to make another paypal account with the same card/same address they can solicit you, or close your paypal/ebay account, since they are all linked.

you may have your selling privilages on ebay/paypal revoked too for that address.

paypal and ebay really are fucking evil, fees nowadays are around 14% after ebay and paypal fees.. lmao

also change ur ip

also dont let your friends log into paypal/ebay on your internet connection they will be flagged and have restrictions put on their account just for association with your "flagged" account

Ok last question since they have my address will they be sending me anything in the mail? I heard they will call me through collections but that doesn't bother me.

its always possible, i doubt it tho. they will probably spam your email and telephone

these fuckers are relentless, i owed like $250 in bullshit fees after getting pulled into some crazy intricate scam with an international buyer, they would not negotiate over the phone until I paid the fee
they spammed my email daily for 8months+

its honestly a joke, countless frozen transactions and just bullshit backcharges for days

they will threaten you a lot and 95% of people buy into it, but the only way they can impact you is through the credit score with a verified acc with dob/ssn.

people don't know but paypal is just a merchant service, same as visa and amex
