Anyone know where I can find the Quake live sounds? I specifically want the kill sound as my hitsound for TF2 but can't find the sound files in steams quake directory.

The quake live files are stored in pk3 files in steamapps/common/quake live/baseq3 which you can open with SLADE. If you look through some of the "pak" pk3 files you should find the sounds.

Found the file for it, just posting here to let others know in the future.

Go to:
Program files > steam > SteamApps > Common > Quake Live > baseq3
Then its in the pak00.pk3 file. Open it in SLADE then go to sound then feedback. Heres all the hitsounds for Quake. Although they're ll stored as .ogg files. So they need to be rendered into mp3s.

I could open the file in sony vegas and then rendered it as an mp3 file. Could probably be opened in audacity too and rendered out as an mp3. Make sure its at 44100Hz or it wont work.
