Trying to run the game at fullscreen 720p on native 1080p, but when I do it the game doesn't maintain the 16:9 aspect ratio. The width stretches to 1920 but the height stays at 720. Tried changing my desktop size to 1280x720 too but it does the same thing so I'm guessing it's either something wrong with my monitor or my graphics card.
Using a ASUS V238H and a AMD Radeon 6870 with latest drivers.
It doesn't have this problem when I run the game windowed but I want to still either stretch the game fullscreen or play in fullscreen mode. Also tried running a demo at 720p and my FPS didn't go up at all :c

This is almost certainly an issue with your GPU scaling setting

Make sure this is set to "scale image to full panel size" (I think).

thanks that was it. Is it normal for it to not increase my FPS at all. I'm seeing like a difference of maybe 5-10 fps from playing this on 1080p compared to 720p.

Resolution should generally have a pretty significant effect on FPS. Try doing a benchmark with both resolutions if you aren't confident it's helping.

windowed noborder 1080p2639 frames 29.058 seconds 90.82 fps (11.01 ms/f) 3.936 fps variability
Maybe it's just my CPU being a massive bottleneck.
Been trying like everything the past couple days to squeeze maybe 30 more FPS so I can get 150 fps during midfights. But pretty much nothing gives me more than maybe 5 FPS, including turning off hats and shadows.

borderless window gives you significantly less fps than fullscreen

I'm testing 1080p with border less window (not optimal) with 720p in full screen (optimal) and it seems my fps only increases by about 0.21. I don't really know why it's so insignificant either.
