I'm a well trained spy that can do more than just back stab. I would like to get a lower team, because this would be my first competitive team.

Hey dude it's great that your getting in to competitive TF2, however, this we don't have the biggest highlander community here. I would recommend going to: http://www.ugcleague.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?61-Highlander-Players-Looking-for-Teams

You have a much bigger chance of finding a team there.

It's playoffs time at this point of the season. It's a bit weird as some teams are trying to do tryouts and some are trying to practice hard. Best bet is to make a topic if you haven't already and to keep an eye on the LFP section.

If you see a team that's looking for Spy, don't be afraid to add the team leader and ask for a tryout. You want to get a bunch of tryouts in so that there's a better chance of someone feeling that you would be a solid pickup. If you have a looking thread up as well, there's the chance that a new leader who needs a Spy will add you and offer a tryout.

Spy is also a pretty popular class so there is an abundance of them. If you're able or feel okay with playing another class, it wouldn't hurt to tryout for that class as well. At the lower levels, it's probably more important to just get some playing time and gain experience. Regardless, good luck with your search!
