So for a while I've had this problem where health crosses on all huds are pure white instead of the usual tanlight.

Eg. http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=238013723

It's pretty bothersome to me so it would be appreciated if anyone could help.

I've tried validating my files.

Somewhere in your customs folder, you must have forgot to delete custom cross sign material. Should be named as health_colour.vtf/.vmt. Delete them and it should work.

Check your materials folder and see if you have a folder called "hud" and see if you have healthcross in there or something

It sounds like you have a custom health_color.vtf file somewhere in your custom folder. You should look through it and see if you have one in a materials folder somewhere. Not sure if this is the answer, but it's the only thing I can think of.

Edit: got beat by about 30 seconds, but it looks like we are all in agreement at least.
