the bounties look like they will get really boring and i guess those rift things look pretty cool but as far as i know they are really limited, as of now it doesnt look that rewarding it looks like it plays itself in terms of gear progression

i think im gonna give it a try either way when it does come out, i know its not gonna be for a while but even with all the added game modes its pretty good....i mean honestly even with d2:lod it was just baal runs all the time or dueling...but then dueling turned to shit because everyone just ebayed their gear....so everyone just ran enigma and what not. im open minded about this expansion

zigzterturtsmcgurtshi a friend and I are going to be dipping into this game and were wondering what a good combo would be class wise, and what the farming map is right now. last I played it was some crypt one where you ran around with a snow-storm around your wizard breaking the vases and resetting after 30 seconds.

i like monk, is monk viable?Those crypt gold runs got nerfed hard.

From what I've been reading/seeing, in terms of effectiveness (both skill-wise and how much it costs to gear) the classes go barb > monk > wizard > WD > DH.
I'd go with a combo of the top 3, though I'd get one wizard if you're planning on running that perma-freeze build. DH is viable if you either get extremely lucky with drops you can sell on the AH, or spend real money on the AH to gear your DH. I just dropped $5 on 50mil or however much it was to gear my DH. She's around 230k DPS now with about 22 mil left to spend, and I can farm MP5 easily. (Just finished an MP7 keywarden run with a freeze wizard.)

As a DH you should be able to do mp10 at around 250K as long as you have some good all res and the right skills

If you didn't use the AH much, everything you find is an instant major upgrade.

I used the AH a lot for my DH though, so I haven't found any upgrades yet. (But I did find a very nice legendary crossbow for my Scoundrel.)

Thus tons of people that lived on D1 and D2 left the game. How exactly is the answer to that making old items COMPLETELY pointless. I just feel like they are making the same mistake.

they've made it so you're guaranteed to get upgrades for your class fairly regularly.

I've been playing D3 for pretty much a whole week with 3 other friends and having a lot of fun. Regeared my barbarian on a higher difficulty, leveled up a witch doctor, monk and wizard and having a blast. Sucks the expansion is not out till the end of the month cause gear and crafting items are already in game dropping and you cant do anything with them yet. Overall I think they did a good job with the loot system revamp
