I'm a medic and I want to get better. I feel pubbing is nearly worthless (I spend all my time practicing crosbow aim and ubersawing people) and trolls ruin most lobbies. In addition, I'm not good enough for PUGs (Mangachu made me his bitch in my last one...) so I feel finding a mentor and picking his brain is the most productive thing I can do at this moment. I've found people on different forums but none of them really commit/ignore me when I try to talk to em (messaged this guy about 8 times about going over a demo... never replied). I'm free more often then a normal human being should be and I'd like to spend that time being productive. I'm not asking for harbleu to take me under his wing or anything (not that I'd be opposed to that...) but I would like to find someone better and more experienced to teach me. I want to break into CEVO/ESEA sooner rather than later.

add me on steam (and make my day) http://steamcommunity.com/id/BurningHeavy/

blinK recently started a "Medic Guild" here :)

It's not the same as having a single mentor just for yourself, but it could still be very helpful!
Good luck getting better!

You can add me if you like but I'd suggest my youtube channel as a primer.

https://www.youtube.com/medimarx

I've tried to organize everything so that it'd be easy to learn from since you're on the newer side.

I'll also review any demo you have so long as you're actually on a team - pug demos are generally a waste of time, especially low level ones I'm sorry to say.

The most important thing you can do right now is get on a team. It doesn't matter what kind of team, just a team. Find some broskies and make a team, or try and get some tryouts with lower level teams (maybe UGC forums if you aren't feeling very confident). If you're already on a team then you're 1/2 way to anywhere :p
