Should I fix my G400?

I got my g400 last April, and everything was fine until tonight. When playing Red Orchestra 2, I noticed my right click was a bit off. It was louder, the sound was scratchy, and it required more force. If I click the mouse rapidly it seems to work ok, but otherwise it takes more effort, sounds bad, and throws me off. As a demo this really bothers me. Should I send the mouse back for a replacement G400S or attempt to fix it? If I should replace it, will I have any issues due to buying it on Amazon?

Edit: forgot to ask if anyone knew a fix, typed this mobile so it took me awhile lol.

If you fix it yourself, there's no way it's getting replaced if it breaks again and you need to send it in.

Logitech has great customer service from all my dealings with my mouse and headset. Just need your receipt (I used my bestbuy online receipt) and a picture of the s/n p/n will be needed for them to send a replacement.

I don't think they'll have you send it in since they didn't need me to do that for my g500.

ok, so the plan right now is to get the warranty and get a G400S. Out of curiosity, will they need proof of my issue? Is this even a "warranty covered issue"? Or should I say it is the wire or something to ensure I get my replacement? (i'd rather not lie, but the mouse needs replacing and if they won't take my reason as valid I might need to)

Yeah, just tell them about the issue, say it's not clicking properly, they'll send you a new one, but might ask for your old one, sometimes they dont. If you were to fix it on your own, I've done this before modding omron switches into my friends Zowie AM, you need to be very handy with a soldering iron, and you would have to order a replacement switch from Ebay, so it's not worth it, just RMA
