I have a bit of extra spending money thanks to Christmas / work income and I was toying with the idea of somehow upgrading my computer. If you were me and had a few hundred dollars to spend, what would you upgrade from this current build? Thank you in advance for any input.

Other than maxing out your video card (upgrade to a 780ti or some type of SLI/Crossfire configuration) there's not really anything to upgrade as far as gaming purposes are concerned. Unless you plan on playing everything at ultra 1080p or higher, you are fine as is.

I had that same Samsung monitor you have - i loved it other than the fact that it was like looking at a god damn mirror...it reflected everything if any light even remotely touched it. I went to a benq 120hz and was much happier with both the performance and picture when it came to gaming.

I recently switched off of a sidwinder X4 (served me well for 3 years) to a CM storm quickfire XT with brown switches. I got it because it was pretty cheap + has the numpad, which I use quite a bit. I'm very happy with it, the only thing I miss from the x4 is the media switches.

Meemat your taste sounds very similar to mine. I couldn't live without a numpad. I think I could learn to live without the media keys though they are very convenient. I have been wanting to get a new keyboard for a long time now. I will check that one out.

If you get a CM Storm Quickfire XT or Ultra they are mechanical and have a numpad/media keys.

I just got a new keyboard myself and I really like having the dedicated media buttons. Opposed to the FN + f1-4 for them. The Ducky Zero is really nice but I can't say I have much experience with other mechanical keyboards. This is the specific model I got since I really like having the backlit option
