OtakuScott_2narfLet me get this straight. You BOUGHT 40 keys?
No, but somebody did. If the item was bought ever. All keys had to be bought by someone, but not the same person.
Oh ok.
mausymasterfulturtsmcgurtssome people have jobs and money to spend on their hobby?
I think the question narf was asking is why. No need to be a douchebag.
thats the reason he capitalized "BOUGHT" right?
I made my statement because I find it surprising that someone would spend 100$ on keys. I capitalized bought because I wanted to highlight that I find the notion of buying that many keys a bit absurd.

I've read about it a few times, people that download public hacks and than get banned the same day that they use it. There isn't really that much of a reason to delay the kind of hacks you can get by searching google for "tf2 hacks" because the people that use them aren't going to be using other things that VAC isn't catching. So they just ban those type of hacks right away because they aren't serious hackers, usually just kids that wanna hack or it is somebody trying to get an account VAC banned.
IDK how common it is and these were things I read/researched at least a year ago. But I know it's happened in the past and it wouldn't make much sense to delay a hack that is easy to get and is really common, imo.

Scott has never been the one to do anything off the board. He's been around in the tf2 comp scene for a long time, and has always had good rep.
For as long as I've known him, he's been a chill guy, and never made me think otherwise. I'm sure he has a completely viable explanation for what happened.

I'm going to post a timeline of events to help clarify:
1. I used the wallhack in a private server, with the intent to provide viewers of matches with more information.
2. Deleted the hack, forgot about it, and moved on playing TF2 for about a month.
3. Log into account few days ago, notice that a lot of items are gone!
4. Notice that some items are still there... weird I think
5. Attempt to join off of friend, to cool off after losing my items from a "hacker" (as I just assumed).
6. Get in game notice that says my account is VAC Banned
7. Disconnect and Quit tf2
8. Log into previously made Idle Account, (previously paid for)
9. Log into TeamFortress.tv
10. Post thread that my account was hacked
11. Get accused by the community of hacking
12. Go to Steam Support regarding my account being hacked.
13. Read post on Steam Support that says that When VAC banned you lose TF2 items that are non-purchased
14. Go to readd old friends on Steam on new account
15. Go to add Psychotropic
16. Remember events that occurred as described in Point #1 (because I was thinking of why I didn't lose certain items)
17. It hits me, and I remember that I did in fact use a wallhack, totally deserving the VAC Ban
It does sound fishy, I know, but it is the truth. You can choose to believe me if you want, but I understand that you have reasons to doubt me.

What? You can have a private local server with VAC on it. I know a clan leader who was dumb enough to get an account banned from it way back in NS days. So long as the server has VAC and you have internet access, you can get VAC banned. If it was an STV then I don't believe you can get banned.
Like I said before. Wallhacks are materials, you dont get VAC banned for them unless you use a bypasser (which you dont need in a private server). If he used the other kind of wallhack that someone mentioned earlier then it was obviously a private hack which means he paid for hacks.

if the server he's streaming allows for material wallhacks, it allows the players to have them (among other things) as well.
no idea how this would all work in STV, but having sv_pure disabled isn't viable unless it's in an STV, even then I don't know if it's allowed there. probably is, dunna.

Why must non-mat wallhacks be private? How many hacks do you know? I'd bet there are plenty of injected wallhacks that are VAC bannable that aren't pay to use. And even then, why would you bring up private server in that case? You can't be VAC banned for having altered materials in the first place. sv_pure will simply stop you from joining. Having edited material wallhacks will NEVER get you banned. He never claimed to use those types (which he should have, but hence the VAC ban).
I dont think you understand what im saying.

Nobody does because you're an idiot. Chances are it was a public but injected wall hack, since he got VAC'd and all.

What does the inventory have to do with it anymore? He already admitted to having used a wall hack.

why is this thread still around? there was really no reason for him to announce to us that his account was stolen and that someone supposedly got him vac'd. he then admitted to cheating and that's that.

VAC bans from public released hacks and already known as compromised aren't correlated with this ban wave that hitted PRIVATE HACKS only, most of them sharing a common exploit to bypass VAC.
Public released hacks get you banned within few days (not same day, confirmed, if you don't believe test it yourself with a blank new account), but NEVER a month after.
Coincidentally, his ban was triggered on the same day as of the ban wave which flagged almost all of the known private vac2-proof cheat engines. This occured ONCE this year, how much of a coincidence is that?
Do you really believe using a public available cheat will get you banned only 1 month after the use?
If he paid for a private hack for broadcasting purpose and 5 minutes after not managing to get it working simply forgot about that, well.. he's that idiot. Otherwise, he can show complete proof of purchase and proof of getting a refund from the cheat engine provider later.
The friends defending him, that's just the case of a friend defending another... no point arguing with them since they were asked to post here to defend him IMO.
Who's otakuscott anyway? Pubstar at best, forgettable performance at this league's season, a nobody. And nobody, except his friends, is giving a shit about his ban.
Otakuscott, please stop trying. You cheated, you suck, you're not going to make any difference staying or leaving.
