salmosa, abyssus, g1, mico..

wondering about mice of this style. pred is overhyped idc if it has it or not.

razer mice seem really unreliable so im shying away from them in general.

g1 seems nice and is sort of the "ideal" shape that I want to try, but it seems to not be able to clock well.

mico is similar size as the rest but idk if the shape/grip is on par with g1 or if its sensor is shitty.

I use a wmo atm, but play a lot of games where higher dpi would be beneficial and my fingers mouse grip seems like it would mesh well with the smaller mice

the mico has the same sensor as the kana and kinzu v2 pro but i believe it lacks the steelseries firmware update that fixes a bug

the kana seems like it would be a good fit if you are already using a WMO

essentially a slightly flatter WMO with side buttons, better build quality, and higher max dpi

the abyssus is very nice and no matter how bad razer's build quality seems to be (ive received two doa deathadders), for $30 I wouldn't mind buying another if I couldn't get it replaced

I've had my 1800 DPI Deathadder for almost 3-4 years now I think. I've pulled the cord accidentally and dropped it on the floor, dropping textbooks on it, pushing it off even more by accident; Still works like I bought it yesterday. I might look into the kinzu v2 as my next mouse though.

The Abyssus and CM Storm Spawn seem to be the two mice that people are mentioning, and it has a good sensor.

i got a spawn, but it has two massive flaws:

1) huge LOD, but this can be fixed by updating to the latest firmware
2) really low malfunction speed

using around ~12 in/360 i could get it to stop tracking altogether if i did a quick 180

Zowie AM is a pretty good small mouse. It's good for clawgrip or palm if you have smaller hands and has 2 side buttons. The buttons and scrolling wheel are a bit stiff in the beginning but the sensor is good.

the xornet is pretty awesome but you can easily make it skip on a high or low sensitivity on some pads (I used qck, talent, goliathus control). The released firmwares all degrade the quality of the tracking and lower the malfunction speed. The only good firmwares are stock (50/70) which has prediction or (51/71) which has less. If you want this mouse, buy "HandStands Extra Large Super Mouse Pad, Grey" on amazon. I cannot get the mouse to skip on this pad and it tracks fine.

I guess you could also classify the Deathadder as a small mouse? I think it was smaller than my Xai and definitely smaller than my G500.

CM Xornet/Spawn mice are extremely comfortable and I couldn't find any LOD/tracking issues after upgrading to the most recent firmware. However there's something strange about them that I haven't been able to pin down after 2 or so months of usage, maybe it's the sensor placement. I started using the abyssus recently and instantly felt better, I think it's because the sensor is right in the middle of the mouse body.

1. Tape fix
2. V61 firmware @500Hz or higher

frkn1. Tape fix
2. V61 firmware @500Hz or higher

tape fix doesn't work but the firmware fixes LOD. the sensor placement also makes the mouse feel weird.

the real dealbreaker is the malfunction speed though
