Would be incredibly useful, if possible.

Right now I need to ask Salamancer a simple question. I can find a post of his here, go to his profile, find his Steam account, add him, wait for him to maybe accept (which he has no compelling reason to), and then ask my question. I'd rather just pm.

edit: his friends list is full.

Can always e-mail or tweet people. Afaik Salamancer is quite active with his tweets.

Well... many people don't have twitter and how can you even be garanteed to know their twitter/email?

It is 2013, time to make twitter account and you can usually find e-mails in the YouTube channel description (if the person you are looking for has YouToobz).

this is a good idea, the only problem i see is spam (I.E alts) maybe include a block feature( just an example) or something along the lines of that...i don't think it would be tedious, just a nice extra feature if possible

I always wondered why tf.tv had no PMs. I mean this is much more frequented by invite players and people hailed as kings by the community than previous "hubs for competitive tf2", most of them have full friends lists and/or no reason to accept people, twitter is not really designed to deliver PMs and why would I register on twitter just to ask somebody something.

Tf.tv PMs seem to be much more simple. Shouldn't be hard to implement either. Have a set amount of PMs that can be stored/account and a block feature and everything should be good to go.

Whatcha know bout that enigma

Huhy, but what if you don't have a youtube channel? What if your twitter is called something else? Like me?

There is no reason that you should have to use some other websites to contact a person because there isn't any sort of "tying in 2 accounts" system. Sure you'll find the biggest people but what if you want to contact someone else. Having a PM system will be ONLY beneficial and just because it cuts out trying to find someone on some other platform when you're not even sure where or how or even if they are there

I was only talking about celebrities (people like Salamancer), because that's what Fraac needed.
