Super slow browsing speed in Chrome

So for the past 2 days, my browsing speed in chrome has been painfully slow. I haven't changed any settings that I know of, and speedtest.net says that my internet speeds haven't changed either (~8 up, .05 down). I don't have any torrents open or anything downloading either, and my roommates aren't using the internet any more than usual. Any idea what the problem could be, or possible solutions?

Not particularly, usually a tab with email, tf.tv, and maybe youtube or something. Never more than I have in the past, so I know that's not it.

I've been having a Chrome problem for about 2 days as well but I can't tell if it's exactly what you're experiencing.

Basically I try to load Facebook, it shows the home page in a semi loading state showing a few page elements, then it just gets stuck there. I've never had the patience to sit and see how long it would take to finish.

IDK!

I used to have some major problems with chrome and every other browser I tried with slow loading pages -- especially from new tabs. After a while I just assumed it was a problem with my SSD and reformatted it. After that Chrome ran fine. Are you using a possibly corrupt HDD? Also pretty much clear chrome completely or uninstall it, you should be fine since you can just log right back in after a reinstall to get your bookmarks.

Seeing as how different tasks in internet browsers use different ports to dl/ul, it's probably not your internet that's the problem, more likely a glitch/bug with your computer/Chrome.

I'm getting the same thing. It says "Untitled" for like 30 seconds and then finally loads the page.

I have as well, but it hasn't been as bad as some of you guys. Maybe time to make the switch? Not to IE, of course.

Re-install Chrome, Clear cache/cookies, etc. Maybe a new browser? I'm using chrome now and it's fine.

Also, it's weird because it's not like my internet is slow. Speedtest.net says it's running at the correct speeds, and once a youtube video page loads, it doesn't take long for the video to buffer. But if I ever click on a link or open a new tab, it takes such a long time just for the page to load.

Is Opera sweet? I might have to check it out.

I think chrome has had issues after the latest update.
