Snakewater mid as pocket

I pug a lot and when this map comes up I start to cringe. I'm having a hard time grasping the mid fight for Snakewater. As a pocket, what am I supposed to do in order to benefit my team the most?

Do I sit and protect medic?

Do I bomb with my roaming soldier and hope to get a good pick on the medic or demo?

Any help would be appreciated!

Yeah that can work if your team plays a passive mid.

Yeah that works too.

Looks like you're on the right track!

Seriously though uh try varying your jumps a lot. Do a low jump under the platform or roll out from bridge and bomb high enough that scouts have a real hard time denying you. Or just double jump and go behind and steal the healthkit so the scouts can't get it. Or just walk across the point when you roamer/scouts push.

double bombing soldiers is a cointoss. you either kill everything or you both die and lose. protecting your medic is also a cointoss. if your team handles aggression well, then you get the picks and win mid off that. if you aren't good at receiving bombers, then you all die.

if you're bombing soldiers, then you want to coordinate where you guys are going. one jumping high and one low with a side in mind is a good start. an example would be your roamer jumping into kitchen and then you taking the high ground of that side. then he jumps into them around shed and you jump onto the shed. just simple shit like that.

if you want to try and control the other team's aggression, then playing on shed is an ok spot. top left can be ok too, though there is the potential for a scout to randomly plus forward and you can't stop him in time. if you want to do a passive mid like this, it should be at least you and a scout trying to double team whatever goes aggro on you. the rest of your team should be on the same page and try not to eat too much early damage/ get killed.
