Last night i noticed i got bllue BSOD 3 times in one day. Didnt think much of it so i just decided to sleep then. But now today when i start the computer it powered on, the fans were running and hdd running but then it shuts off again :(
i tried resetting mobo to factory settings but to no avail. Tried unplugging the power cable for 20 minutes but it always happends the same thing. it only powers up for 3 seconds before it powers down again.
Im not sure which hardware compononent is at fault here

It's a power supply issue.
Either something went unplugged and your hardware isn't getting enough power, or you just straight up bought a bad psu.
You might want a second opinion though, because many people know more than me.

i have seasonic 600 watt, stock clocked i7 920, stock clocked gtx 570
ive used psu this one for 5 years now. But ive recently overclocked my cpu to 3.8ghz but i underclocked it again since i didnt need that high frequency

Check all your connections, and all your cables to make sure they are still intact, I'd recommend just taking everything apart, cleaning it and then putting it back together, also apply some new thermal gel while your at it.

I had this problem when I was a kid, fixed it by replacing the thermal paste on my cpu. Was overheating immediately because I took the cooler off the cpu and didn't replace the paste, which was all shitty after the years.
might be a power supply problem though. try swapping that out first.

i filmed it aswell. But yeah i havent replaced my thermal paste for 3 years i could give it a try.

To be honest, This problem could be caused by any failing piece of hardware. I've experienced this with dead processors, RAM, PSUs, and GPUs.
You can try taking the entire computer apart and attempt to switch out parts in attempt to find the broken piece, but in my experience it's easier just to take it to a shop and have them run a diagnostic on it.

I agree, the only way to diagnose the issue is to swap out parts. Unless you have a second PC and the time to do this, I'd follow matlock's advice.

Do you see your bios loading or do you just have a blackscreen when you power on the machine initially ?

anyway turns out that i have 3 broken pins on the socket :(
sigh and since im using discontinued mobo i cant even find a 1366 socket mobo in the aftermarket. feel waste that i would have to buy a new cpu and mobo
and which socket would i have to go for for bang of the buck?

Find a good CPU and figure out it's socket type, then just adjust to that.

Find a good CPU and figure out it's socket type, then just adjust to that.
I was gonna recommend an ebay page but I have no clue where you are from. either way, you'll be able to find your motherboard on ebay if you'd rather stick with the same setup. I also have an x58 mobo still going strong. Was it slammed around or something to cause that? maybe taken in a car to a LAN?
