I'll look into this. I have a hunch that the changes I made to the Badlands displacements (the terrain) last year may have changed the general height of the terrain by a few units, causing the original spawn points to become invalid. The number of triangles had to be reduced in the terrain because Valve designed Badlands with "Power 4" displacements that aren't supported properly in Hammer/Source SDK, causing unusually large map file sizes and preventing terrain physics calculations from being computed. I had to reduce the displacements to "Power 3" which reduced their "resolution" due to the reduced triangle count.

I'm a bit surprised nobody noticed/mentioned this sooner.

Found a bugish spawn thing on badlands mid.

Not sure if its really a bug but it can be fudging annoying and really easy to abuse. If I kill the enemy while standing on the traincart closest to the mid he will be forced to spawn on the other side of it, giving me a really easy spam shot and then I can proceed to kill him again while standing in the same spot and spawn trap him.

Again not sure if this is a bug, but if you do it right it can be a very easy win and a very frustrating loss for the enemy.

If I did not explain it very well you can add me and I can show you in game if you wish.

I think there was an update a few days ago that broke metamod on windows servers or something, try updating sourcemod/meatmod on your server to the latest working build if you're still having this issue.

also I believe the spawn bugs are due to map stuff that JSTN mentioned. Everything else should be working now. (hint if you haven't updated your servers yet because of the bugs, the mod should be stable now).

I have players complain about fixed spawns on some arenas, particularly badlands spire where players will only re-spawn on the pride rock. This only happens during a duel. I've tested the arena alone and the spawns work fine (kill in console, switch class). Using the latest plugin, map + spawnpoints.

I just updated my server and watched 2 players play an entire spire round getting different spawns every time they spawned on v7 and v8_beta4a, so unless someone has a server that's updated and is causing this bug that they wanna lend me, there isn't much I can do.

Are you on one of the new maps, either mge_training_v8_beta4a or mge_dueling_v1? If not, MGEMod says it's failed because the map's not supported.

Badlands spire surely needs some work. It's 10x more buggy on this version of the map.

I will post screens later as soon as I can but on the ledge on the 1st ring of spire from the bottom and on the last ring of spire there's a edge you get stuck pretty often when jumping or even passing by

I have the intel issue on my server as well. I am using the temporary fix by changing the map to a non mge map every now and then. I hope for a quick-fix :)

Confirming this too. Bball is broken. Changing the map to a non mge map and then back to it fixes it but this is not a proper solution.

Just a question: Is it possible to get tournament mode working for MGE 2v2 so you can properly change teams and start the game when you want? I tried it yesterday and when tournament mode was enabled, it just removed everyone from the arena and did not actually work.

try typing !add 5 blu or !add 3 red to add to the team you want. No way right now to wait to start, other than removing and re-adding.

I'll try to look into this intel problem tonight, if anyone has any info as to what map its happening on (is it still just the map with only bball courts?) and exactly when its happening, that'd be helpful.

Thanks for the swift response! One other question I thought of: For MGE 2v2, when a dead player changes class it causes the round to be lost for the team that changed class. Is it possible to make it so this doesn't change anything until a new round begins to prevent this?

I believe dave_ helped make the map, and I always forget to ask JSTN to remove all the extra spec cameras in v8.
