Hi everyone, an issue that consistently crops up during TF2CC's Newbie Cups is the lack of a wholly complete learning package for the little nooblets first being welcomed into our scene. This results in loosely strung along guides, demo reviews being shared around while coaches individually create stranded material for their team's use.
tl;dr: I am making a big ass guide and would like help to make it more high quality. If you care about it at all or just want to observe join the official discord for this project
That is why I decided to start working on the (insert title card here). The main scope is to talk about pretty much everything (yes, including Highlander) you should at least know a little something about with sections going into depth if a reader would so choose to embark on that journey. Additionally, the secondary purpose of the guide will be to point readers towards high quality resources (whether primary or additional to the material). Think "Line Theory" by Grape Juice III. The breadth will range from historical synopsis, recommended settings, explanations of every current league, being a team leader, RCON, class guides, the works. Including a spreadsheet of as many publically available demo reviews with categories as possible.
However, this is a pretty sizable project. In-fact, you can see how many chapters and topics there currently are (it is quite a lot). While I want to involve public feedback, I want to open the floor for people in the community to join in on contributing to it whether directly or indirectly.
There is an official Discord server for this project. Since it's meant to be quite light; only editors and contributors will be able to write messages in social channels. Spectators will be able to observe and optionally, get pinged for updates if they so wish.
Now to be clear, I have no qualms with writing the entire opus myself lest there be no-one interested in joining my team. I will still be posting updates in both the discord server and this very thread on medium-major milestones. However, it will take significantly longer and you will have to endure my open DNA in some of the literature. Expect to see some more updates during the RGL off-season!

i feel like chapter 2 should be chapter 1 and chapter 1 should be a short checklist in the "playing your first match" section in chapter 3
