Been looking to pick up a few sets of bookshelf speakers, or just satellites and spring for additional subs later for a setup that covers my whole apartment. I can stare at audioholics all day long about each speakers quirks but in the end I have no clue or need for the level of specificity they get into.

Thinking about Monoprice MP-65RT which seem to be pretty bang for the buck but i'm down to spend a little extra for better looks or a more complete range of sound than these purposely budget built ones.

Don't have any amps/switches yet, waiting till I can figure out what exact load i'll be putting on them. Aiming for 3 zones w/ 2.1.

^ I use these bad boys with my record player straight into them and I've never had any complaints. They have bass/treble adjust on the side which is nice for getting everything to sound perfect. I'm not really an audiophile, and these are the only bookshelf speakers I've ever had, so idk how accurate or whatever they are compared to other stuff in the price range, but the amazon page does say 'studio monitor speaker' (whatever that means) and my brother who is a pro sound engineer says they're fine. Do with that what you will.
