I pretty much ate shit throughout middle school due to a severe speech impediment. The way I see it, it either chews away at you or your skin grows thick. I never got clinically depressed, but that doesn't mean I was happy either.
Yeah, bullies are a problem. I agree with the message that sometimes there isn't jack you can do. Some kid mocked my speech at the bus stop back in middle school and got the entire busload of kids laughing at me all the way to school. I'm not forgetting that. If the term 'grin and bear it' wasn't coined for situations like that, I don't know what it's for. Am I gonna yell at them? Like I could get a single word out under that kind of pressure. Start a fight? I wasn't raised like that. Tell a teacher? I'd get shit on even more. They've got you by the balls, really.

All I was trying to say was that victims of bullying should do what they can to lessen it. Is there anything really wrong with that? Yes, I understand that some people can't do anything but I am very sure that a lot of people can.
If you can improve yourself then do that instead of waiting for others to change.
