Finally European coverage of 6v6 begins on the Teamfortress.TV stream tonight with a matchup between the top 2 teams in PREM.

Casting tonight will be DJC and Greg at www.twitch.tv/TeamfortressTV at 21:15 CET or about 3:15 EST for the Americans.

Should be an excellent game to kick off EU TF2 on the Teamfortress Stream so I hope to see you all there.

Also please upvote to spread the word about our new ventures.

Yo Lame, the Reddit admins are cracking down on what they call upvote manipulation. Basically, anybody caught asking for upvotes could end up with a ban, they made a bunch of threads on all the big e-sports subreddits.

Also the VTV stream will be Arx + Beta. Talk about getting some high-quality match coverage; VTV and TFTV both putting their best foot forward today.

Posting the link itself is probably a gray area. If you use the reddit link as the main distributor of information regarding the match, I'm sure that's fine. If the reddit link isn't your only source of info and it could all just be relayed via TFTV or another site, then I think an admin might look on that as upvote manipulation. I don't know for sure, but that'd be my personal interpretation.

That said, reddit is a fantastic tool for publicity. Our little esport needs all the help it can get, especially when the TF2 subreddit population at-large doesn't upvote competitive news as much as meme and joke posts. From that perspective, I'm 100% for upvote manipulation, but from a larger "information democratization" perspective it sets a troubling precedent.

They don't care where and how often you link a reddit thread, you just can't ask for votes. The reason being is that apparently when you ask or not so subtly hint that you want some votes, a huge portion of the traffic you drive to the thread will upvote it. This does not happen if you only link the thread. They only care because they want all reddit threads on an even playing field and their statistics show when you ask for votes you get a shit ton of people mindlessly voting the post.
