check your tf folder. lawena usually just tries to record there anyway and ignores whatever you set as the tga folder.

oh yeah it did record like 44 frames there and after that it stopped
is there a way to make it actually go to the folder i want it to go? my tf2 is on my ssd which barely has any space

not that i know of but you can set your avi folder in avirecorder to be on a separate drive and have it delete frames after recording so that as long as you have enough space for one recording it will work.

oh yeah i forgot to mention when i use avirecorder the game just slows down as if it was recording (without the occasional stutters that occur when you are actually recording) and then nothing happens

u can put a frames folder within the tf directory which worked for me, it's not ideal but it at least keeps it more organised

the lawena startmovie stuff can be really buggy so try just binding a key to "host_framerate [framerate]; startmovie [name];" and another key to "endmovie; host_framerate 0;"

For example:
bind c "host_framerate 240; startmovie a;"
bind v "endmovie; host_framerate 0;"

you would then press c to start recording and v to stop.
let me know if that works.

Cyanic

it works, it just doesnt really do anything with avirecorder
also not being able to change the tga destination is kinda shitty, i think my only option at this point is just moving tf2 to my hdd
