I don't know if anyone here uses plays competitive pokemon but if you do I'm sure you know of a site called smogon.
Now smogon has this thing called 'The wifi battle finder' in short you click host battle set your play preference (I.E. what game you're gonna play on and what teir pokemon to use) But I thoght it would be awesome as fuck to see something like that here.
A team goes on the finer put's there play level and await a challenge and one is accepted a window pops up with the other teams server info or something. I know this would take a long time to set up but the payoff would be wirth it and get rid of on the biggest issues of comp which is finding pcw's (here in eu at least)

Here's a link to the wifi battle finder so you can see what I'm on a bout: http://www.smogon.com/login?r=/wifi/battle/finder Sorry but you'll have to make an accout, but who knows you might start playing

(sorry for poor-ish grammar I'm like half asleep right now :P)

#tf2scrim on gamesurge is pretty effective already in the NA scene (we call them scrims instead of PCW). Not sure how much of the community would rather switch off of IRC/pming friends though.

We have tf.wars on quakenet but there's a brief window that thing is alive but it's not really the point of this. It would be nice to just go on a page see a challange click accept and bam you're playing not having to load mric joining the server making a post then waiting getting messegd bla bla I dunno I think this would just be a great feature and be a big success and I would kill the issue of tf2 being spread out accross way too many platforms (you got esea, TFTV and irc which is nice but then you also have etf2l vtv extv is like what? it would be great to have it all in one place [obviously sites that host leagues have their own site)

I'm lost in your punctuation :/ . You should really get sleep.

Anyways, the thing is that the people will have to idle in the server, and not many people are actually in the server when a scrim happens. Also, most people have their irc start on Windows automatically or can just go to atf2.org (thank Cinq, it's pretty damn fast) and tf2scrim is right there. I mean sure, you don't get the info immediately, but the people who are scrimming probably won't get the notification right away anyways unless there's some obnoxious sound playing to alert them or they decided to stare at the challenge screen. IRC clients have a blinking bar and all. What you want is just a nice interface that takes out a lot of the negotiations that IRC has and brings nothing new. Do you want to play ours/yours? Where is the server located? Can we play one on X map then another on your map Y? And then the mixing of rulesets if you actually merged cross continents, mixing of server locations (just because the EU team wants to play a US team doesn't mean that US team wants to play with 130 ping players).

tl;dr: It doesn't bring anything new or helpful to the table.
