Evening all/those in EU.

I recently added:

bind "o" "r_drawviewmodel 1"
bind "p" "r_drawviewmodel 0"

To my list of binds in my cfg and it worked (well, if i turned off viewmodels they reverted back if i switched weapons), but now it seems to do fuck all and won't turn off my viewmodels. Any idea why it's doing this fuckery?

bind XY " incrementvar r_drawviewmodel 0 1 1"

Ignisi recommend just putting in one key

You can put it in one key with

bindtoggle [key] r_drawviewmodel

Edit: Got ninja'd by drifta :/

bind incrementvar is still one key, just a slightly messier way of doing a bindtoggle

I think i had bindtoggle before put it didn't work.

I shall try again and report back, as you await eagerly...

Adebisiwell, if i turned off viewmodels they reverted back if i switched weapons

Crosshair switcher?

Adebisibut now it seems to do fuck all and won't turn off my viewmodels

I don't know if it's the issue you're running into, but matchmaking servers don't allow you to disable viewmodels. As long as you didn't change the script, or override the cfg, or change those binds somewhere afterwards, it should still be working on regular servers.

If it's not just matchmaking servers, try typing "bind o" and "bind p" into console to print out what they're bound to.

Okay so I put it at the bottom of my list of binds like:

bind "f" "+inspect"
bind "j" "cl_trigger_first_notification"
bind "k" "cl_decline_first_notification"
bindToggle o "r_drawviewmodel"

Doesn't seem to do anything. I also tried it with like bindToggle "o" "r_drawviewmodel"

Yeah mate, I have crosshairswitcher.

It works! Thanks all.

The only thing is, when I switch to pistol I get viewmodels back, and then again when I switch back to scatter,

I ve been playing MGE without using pistol :D

Yes that's your crosshairawitcher because it's set to automatically turn on viewmodels for these weps.

or you could just delete your crosshair switcher, and just use minimized viewmodels and then use a viewmodel toggle tbh

bind <key> slot1
bind <key> slot2
bind <key> slot3

If u want a crosshairswitcher then change it so you can turn the viewmodels on and off. There should be a guide and if you don't know how to edit crosshairswitchers then if you want one you are better starting fresh with tf2mate.

How do I post my switcher cfg on here?

I never upload shit.

Or literally post what it says in a wall of text?

Why do people use configs without knowing what they do. This is why Valve limits customization.

better question: why is the incredibly powerful tool that is scripting exposed on such a raw level to every single end user? it should be way easier to share and debug simple scripts without fucking up one's game
