W6 Power Rankings: Fuck You Retards Edition
The past two weeks have seen some truly confusing results, as well as a shit ton of roster changes including dunheon defenders to nearly die only for the (prodigal southern son to return as I geniusly predicted) and then promptly nearly lose to dflame. Also, for some insane reason Marmaloo was cut from Circa for kawa so he will return to IM to presumably shit on everyone and everything in his way.

#1- clown fiesta https://play.esea.net/teams/144649
Scout:vari
Scout:ex
Roamer:glider
Pocket:froot
Demo:mae
Medic:meyy
Yes, I’m leaving this team in first even though they dropped 3 rounds to YapYipper, because it’s the fuck you edition of power rankings and I refuse to put mustardoverlord in first. Even though this team tends to throw to nothing short of perplexing levels I think the fact that their scouts have brains in their heads gives them a massive advantage of Category 5. In an attempt to get over my insecurities both as a person and a player, I will continue to bash ex for bottom fragging on his team in their close match against The Baddies. Vari does seem to have found his place and consistently puts up good results, and mae continues to be the best demo in IM by a massive margin.

#2- Category 5 https://play.esea.net/teams/119535
Scout:dave_
Scout:bunnymonster
Roamer:cloudmaker
Pocket:marmaloo
Demo:mustardoverlord
Medic:maev
First things first: If you asked me to think of a scout combo with the lowest number of brain cells combined from everyone in IM this season it would be dave_ and bunnymonster for sure. Seriously the amount of microing these scouts require to function at a top IM level is massive. That works great for this team because the amount of microing mustardoverlord needs to do to function at a top IM level is equally massive. Maev is also a massive upgrade over lee. As long as no one besides mustard tries to call for this team and dave_ manages to get his DM back while filling in for sandblast the team will be looking solid all the way through playoffs.

#3-Waddle R Us https://play.esea.net/teams/144170
Scout:RockMonkey
Scout:phlps
Roamer:phorofor
Pocket:trip
Demo:safrix
Medic:tiptoes
This team hasn’t any notable matches played recently, with their last 3 results being forfeits, but in the match before that they handedly dispatched of Running From Mustard in a match where trip and phlps really showed their e-relationship is going to be a healthy catalyst for this team. RockMonkey is really the only weak player left, as well as being by far one of the worst TFTV posters I’ve ever seen. Hopefully none of the scouts on dead babies mad gunz get cut for being both fat and bad and are forced to take his spot on this team. Trip and safrix reunited in a combo is certainly heartwarming but I still think the other combos above them are stronger. If they do end up beating the teams above them here, their success will probably come on the back of huge performances by phlps.

#4- Every Villain Is Lemons https://play.esea.net/index.php?s=stats&d=match&id=7773599
Scout:Micah
Scout:Troopo
Roamer:Retardo
Pocket:asianriceguy
Demo:Campy
Medic:fabulous
Rankings past here get a bit dicey, but a close 5-4 with Category 5 makes me at least somewhat confident that this team is a solid choice for 4th. Another reassuring fact is that in their match against Cat 5 everyone except retardo was within 5 kills of eachother, so it looks like everyone on this team is capable of pulling their weight. Campy especially had a massive game, flexing on mustardoverload and dropping 70 dpm more than him. If I had to guess, this game was lost due to coordination issues, but the raw DM is definitely there and if they can shape it into a well oiled machine this team could make a surprise appearance in Grand Finals. However, a forfeit against Sparkle Gang could cost them as going into playoffs at 8th seed would be a huge uphill battle for them. If they want to have a deep playoff run their remaining 4 matches are all must wins in my opinion.

#5- The Baddies https://play.esea.net/teams/133933
Scout:jynx
Scout:midas
Roamer:jay
Pocket:mirroman
Demo:ether
Medic:yipyapper
I put this team in 8th last week and said they were unlikely to contest any teams above us but they went and made me look like an asshole my dismantling the old dd_ roster and putting the final nail in that coffin before it was resurrected. They also had an impressive 3-5 loss against clown fiesta Midas and jynx are both capable of playing very well, and the soldier duo of Jaay and mirrorman completely flew under my radar. Their weakest link seems to be ether_ who really is outclasses by almost every other top 8 demo. If he is able to step his play up in a big way this team may even make it into semi finals.

#6- dunheon defendershttps://play.esea.net/teams/130977
Scout:demoted
Scout:catface
Roamer:megaboy
Pocket:Kryptonite
Demo:moy
Medic:screwball
This team falls 4 spots after the death and ensuing resurrection of their team by everyone’s favorite Confederate General catface. On paper I would think this roster would be about equal to the percy-era dd_ and thus a little weaker than their original roster before anyone started tilting. Catface quit tf2 for almost two weeks and had a lot of rust to shakeoff, and I think on a pure mechanical basis moy is a little worse than mc. Screwball is a better medic than exile was, however, and if this team can actually work together instead of against eachother for once they are definitely better than I have them ranked. Early match results are a bit worrisome however, as they were only barely able to edge out a victory against el farmo, who in turn lost to sparkle gang. I’m willing to chalk that up to getting used to a new roster to a certain point, but it does leave a big question mark as to how this team will perform going forward.

I’m leaving this team in 7th because they have 6 invite players on their roster, but an exclusive interview with deathy should tell you why I can’t put them any higher

9:30 PM - dK saam ring: whats ur roster now
9:31 PM - 8K Deathy: we dont have one
9:31 PM - dK saam ring: r u ded
9:32 PM - 8K Deathy: who knows
9:32 PM - 8K Deathy: we havent figured that out yet
9:32 PM - 8K Deathy: we are using muffinz for this weeks match but what happens after that is unknown
9:32 PM - 8K Deathy: we are not scrimming
9:32 PM - 8K Deathy: and we are also 100% not using muffinz for the rest of the season
9:33 PM - 8K Deathy: he said hed fill for this week since were pals
9:33 PM - 8K Deathy: but after that were on our own

Luckily they played most of their hard matches before their roster issues so even playing 2 matches this week and forfeiting the rest of the season would let them coast to playoffs.

It sucks to leave sparkle gang out of the list when they just beat this team but sometimes that’s just the way she goes. For now I’ll say that loss was a fluke, but unfortunately it will be hard to tell unless this team somehow manages to lose to I Will Dad, in which case I’ll be certain that I’m just a retard. I don’t see dflame and Ketih losing to Spades on viaduct however, and if this team plays to their full potential they could even take a close match to clown fiesta. Making playoffs could be an uphill battle for them as they have harder matches left for them than sparkle gang, and the gangsters also currently have a better record.

All the matches sorta suck this week but clown fiesta vs el farmo could maybe not be a 4-0 https://play.esea.net/index.php?s=stats&d=match&id=8067700
