I'm already using Chris's Max Frames config. In battle I can be anywhere from 40-150, but mostly on the low end when in battle. I was curious if there is any other way to make the game look... well... worse?

use like 960x540 or something like that, if you want 16:9, you just have to create a custom resolution in your graphics driver thingy

For some people (including me) lowering resolution barely does anything at all.
It's worth a shot, and trying other things might be a good idea too, but make sure you do a timedemo to compare framerates.

If you don't know what a timedemo is, just record a short demo (like 30 secs) of intense firefights, like a 32 man pub or something, and type timedemo <demoname> in console, and it'll run through the demo and print out your average framerate and variability. That way you can make changes to individual settings and come up with the combo that best fits your rig.

I dunno if this will effect anything, but when I used the dx9 config, putting in the "Mat_viewportscale (set value here)" script will make it look a bit blurry, but it'll make your frames more smoother
