Nevertheless natf2 is in a situation where you are scared to complain to a league in case they drop you. That's fucking ridiculous, and with how much there is to complain about with ESEA you are surely approaching a point where the money/lan finals just isn't enough to justify paying these people.

Even if you say that the pros outweigh the cons, and you love your prizes and lan finals, and even if lpkane doesn't have a direct say in dropping TF2 - at some point they're just gonna get sick of being generous and tf2 is getting dropped. What's Plan B for you guys? And wouldn't it be a good idea to become slightly self-sustainable before that happens?

There will be a time esea will stop supporting tf2, (whether it is due to ipkane being a massive cunt or otherwise), but tf2 will stay alive regardless.

It's working just fine over here (etf2l had 300 teams signed up this season), yeah it might not be the same thing, we all know the lan talk, but it will still work, the hundreds of people playing in esea wont just suddenly stop playing because esea stops, eventually the community will find an alternative.

I think there's a big difference between the NA scene and the EU scene in terms of outlook, but kaneco's right imo. You're perhaps a bit biased as a top player who has personally benefited from the LAN and prizepool, but for the majority of your scene that doesn't even come into it. They just pay ESEA to play vs better people and be in a serious league.

If I'm being perfectly honest, if esea drops tf2, I think most NA players would just move on to CS or Dota2 or wait for Overwatch. Most of the people I hang out with just sorta play because it's what we know.
