Hi folks,

Due to the overwhelming amount of players who've signed up but have yet to reserve their spot at the event by purchasing a ticket the venue and I decided to set a limit on the amount of players who can enter the event. We decided to cap the player amount to 60 total; If you want a spot at the event I would highly recommend purchasing your ticket so you can reserve your spot.

I set up my server at home before leaving to work. Later on I'll start uploading the stv's and stuff and start handing them to casters.

I've been thinking up some ideas for the next event, so far it looks like I'll be doing the next event completely different from the first two.

The new "Venue" would be a hotel ballroom area so players can sleep upstairs and then carry their gear downstairs to game.
I still have not picked out a City to do this in. More than likely I will be making a Poll to see where peeps want the next showdown to take place.

More than likely I'll be tossing up a GoFundMe page that'll:
Raise money to rent a venue space for a BYOC event
Raise money for prize pool
Keep a log of the players who spend 30 bucks which will be their Entry Fee

If I get a sponsor involved they will have 0 interest in TF2 unless they already happen to do stuff for TF2.
Every PC/Gaming related company I've spoken with has only been interested in loaning PCs out for CSGO or DOTA2/LoL matches.
I will speak to various TF2 community groups and see if any of them would be interested in helping out with the TF2 prize pool.

These details may change in the coming months.
I need to take a short mental break away from this for a few weeks so I can focus on my plugin and this upcoming season :P.

Many thanks to all who came out. All the players who attended (And prepaid their tickets online) received medals. I'm looking for folks who are willing to do a really good cast of a match or two (They will also receive a medal)
It was a blast meeting all of you and seeing some of the Flan 2014 alumni again. The amount of feedback I receieved has been overwhelming and I'm looking forward to making "FLan 3: The Betus is Real" the biggest event yet!

Whats wrong with Orlando? I think you would have a much better turn out for 6s, I know at least 6 people who didnt come because it was strickly HL, i was going to come to play some 6s on the side but it was noted that no 6s would be played.

Absolutely nothing.
There's also nothing wrong with wanting to host it in other cities. 2014 was in Pompano, 2015 was in Orlando.
2016 will be one of the 3 cities listed on the survey.
I want to change it up every year.

I finally took the time to speak with some Convention Centers to find out pricing ($$ per day and Insurance).
I got the perfect venue picked out for you guys. Expect to see a formal announcement soon.
