Need help with recording sound through Lawena/Vdub

So I've been recording some demo files for a video using Lawena recently and compiling and compressing them through Vdub but I'm always getting the problem of not getting a good sound file from the game itself. They're often distorted with misplaced sounds and a lot of silence before and after I put them through Vdub.

Any way I could fix this problem? I think I have the latest versions of both programs.

EDIT: They released a recent update that might fix these problems so I'm testing it out right now.
