Tf2 is a point oriented game

I just found the esea stats page, and after looking through a bit, found some things that seem weird to me. On the classes leaderboard, no there are no players from mix^ in the top four for points scored in season 12: in their respective classes, pyyyour ranked 5th, ruwin ranked 5th, tlr ranked 7th, and plat ranked 6th. I know that tf2 is in no way a point dominated game, but it still feels weird that the team that went undefeated this season managed to get less frags over the course of the season than the teams they beat. Can someone explain to me why mixup is so good at winning, yet their individual stats seem relatively worse than the other invite teams?

They took games sometimes 5-0, 5-1, 5-2 so that's less time spent then a game that went to 5-4. So less times to get kills, heals, etc...

Also it shows that they like to get rounds over efficiently.

The longer the individual games are throughout the season means room for "better" stats. An hour long 5-4 game is going to have more capture points, kills, deaths, etc. than a 20 minute 5-0.

That's basically what we're looking at right now. Mixup dominated this season 16-0 with the only close nail-biting game being the last one vs LG on process. If you look at the "time played" stats, Mixup players have a lot less time played.

he means this season they played shorter games, which means less time in-game to acquire frags

edit: what those dudes said above me

It's generally better to look at the per minute stats, those those are often messed up due to the stats not always being accurate.

- Less play time with forfeit wins and quick 5-0's
- A few offclassing games

Sort stats per minute. 4 mix^ players are in the top 10 frags/minute.

Some teams forfeited against them too, that means fewer matches played than some teams.

points are pretty much meaningless

fpm apm dapm dpm ucd(depending) only useful stats

until based torbull gives us heals per min

In pugs I found the team that lost generally had a higher Heals/Min. I don't think it's a good stat honestly, considering how stalemates and stuff will always skew it lower anyways, and if you're rolling and already have uber your HPM will be low.

Although terrible medics will have low HPM, it's not a useful stat since good medics can have the same.

More interesting would be seeing who's been getting the lowest heals per minute. After you pass the medics, you'd be able to see who can do the most work with the least heals.

Everyone in mixup besides Harbleu is in the top fifteen for PPM... As well as all of them being in the top seventeen for FPM (PYYYOUR excluded).

Extending 7 places for harbleu is kinda dumb for the top FPM, considering that's already over 50% of what's left of invite (which is why I said top 10).
