You don't HAVE TO apologize for anything.

You can CHOOSE TO apologize. An action which will start a stream of actions which then will bring meaning and value (or lack thereof) to you and how people see you as individual.

buckweetI agree, made a post before the newbiemixes today with a similar flavor.

Although, tonight I had a great group of n00bs. Could be that I asked the admin to give me the most inexperienced group he could. Ended up being a 2-3 on process.

I was in that game! Thanks for the coaching it was my first time roaming in a mix after playing a bunch of lobbies. My DM is getting better as soldier.

My biggest beef with Newbie Mixes lately is that waiting for a mix is a long process filled with tons of young gamer Mumble spam. I wish there was a way to mute everyone except the admins so I could only get the necessary draft calls. If you mute the whole channel you're liable to miss the actual draft. I just don't want to put up with that while I'm doing other things waiting for a mix.

In mumble, you can local mute people, though you would have to do that one at a time.

With the regular season of ESEA that just ended (excluding playoffs), hopefully some new coaches show up. I plan to coach (if I get accepted) since I just recently met the requirements (1 season of esea), hopefully some other people do the same (:

PurpleShirtLast night there were coaches with one season of ugc steel experience coaching new players, that doesn't seem right to me.

Mind you expanding upon that? That really suprises me. I wasn't there to witness it, and there is a possibility that there was a coach with 1 season of ugc steel due to an admin's mistake. That's the equivalant of me going to a restaurant, eating, and than saying "This food is terrible. This shouldn't be happening." For the restaurant to do anything to please you, they need to know the details on why and how it was terrible for them to do be able to do anything and improve the current situation.

Same thing applies for Newbie Mixes. If you feel there is an unqualified coach let one of the admins know; whether it be through a thread, mumble, or steam chat. We are here to help you.

I had a great experience with the newbie mixes. I told everyone it was my first ever 6's match and no one bitched at me when we got rolled and my roll outs sucked. After the match, the coach spent about half an hour going over roll outs with me.

My only complaint, and what keeps me away, is having to sit in mumble listening to everyone while waiting to get picked and having to yell your name to get picked although I'm not sure of a way to improve on that.

I have been participating in the Newbie mixes for about a month now, I do not experience any of what you guys say. The admins are very nice and gently point out faults I make. They are also very fair in the picking of who gets to play at that moment. I feel people are getting on the admin's bad side by just talking in mumble non-important things, we are in a Newbie mix not your same ole' Public Server. As far as what might set off peoples frustration, it might be the amount of time it takes to be put into a game. All I have to say is, HAVE PATIENCE! There are only so many coaches for us Newbies, and it takes 2 Coaches to run 1 game. JUST HAVE SOME PATIENCE, AND STOP SPAMMING CRAP THE DOESN'T MATTER TO US!

I have never seen anyone get offended or bothered on the mumble either.
