It's fun for a while. Play with a friend (else it kinda sucks), learn how the whole mist and crystal energy works, and work toward being able to be sustainable with your dungeon runs (unless they seriously revamped it since last I played). I can give you some of my old stuff since I haven't touched it in a while.

EDIT: You don't have to pay to play, but the entry barrier is pretty big unless you don't mind taking it pretty slow for a week or 2.

its okay its fun at first until you end up doing grinds of one map just to get a enough money to buy shit you need to upgrade not pay to win but it is pay it win in any amount of time that might be considered reasonable kind of fun for like the first 100 hours then gets tedious

I had like 300 hours on this game 2 years ago. Jeez it was fun back then. Idk what they're doing to this game but it's so much more different from what it was before. Also, it sort of is pay to win i mean i got by without paying for quite a while but then i was tired of grinding so i bought a lot of ce to pay off my 5 star shit. Now im stacked as fuck but also guilty for dishing out so much money on a free game *cough* repeat of tf2.

if you play a game where the objective is to get the best gear, what's the point of buying the best gear? then there's nothing left to do in the game.

MR_SLINif you play a game where the objective is to get the best gear, what's the point of buying the best gear? then there's nothing left to do in the game.

exactly my problem with these types of games. The urge to have the best gear is so great that they make you pay and then you regret it and now don't want to play. I personally was sick of the grindfest (which they should fix by lowering CE prices or adding faster ways to get crowns. Literally the only way to make good money was doing boss runs with a party for 30 minutes at a time (to get only 1/8th of what you need for 1 piece of 5 star gear)

if ur gonna be able to buy items instead of waiting to get them through whatever other ways, then there shouldn't be "best" of anything. like how tf2 does it, for example. there are items better than the others in their tiers (rocket launcher/original being better than 95% of the soldier primaries), but the other items are still really fun to use.

games that end up being either pay to do well early or grind until u die are silly tbh.

rusty hearts was a really fun game until i quickly realized how much grinding was involved (somehow didn't figure this out until more than half way before the level cap lol) and ended up ruining the fun.
