#4 Changing Weapon Sounds in Customization
Mightyshet :x

Welcome to the struggle. Custom crosshairs don't even work on Valve servers. They only permit custom HUD elements, sprays, and hitsounds.

#22 Why can't we add a button? in TF2 General Discussion
SideshowI agree that Valve could do small things which would provide a big boost to us as a community, but I can see also why they wouldn't want to. Our version of competitive tf2 is pretty far removed from their (and everyone else's) idea of tf2.

This is basically what happened with the letter, and every attempt to reach out to Valve prior. They've stated that they don't enthuse with the 6s community because our version of the meta is far different than theirs. This is part of what Arena: Respawn and recent HL whitelists are trying to do.

#2 Changing Weapon Sounds in Customization
When I started using it, I noticed that my airshots were way worse than usual, and I was under-predicting the speed of my rockets

You're aware the Original fires a rocket directly down the center of your screen, while every other launcher fires from the side, right? And THAT'S probably the reason for you missing airshots?

Also this doesn't work on sv_pure 1 using Valve's whitelist.

]sv_pure
-------------------------------------------------------
sv_pure: Only allow client to use certain files.

-1 - Do not apply any rules or restrict which files the client may load.
0 - Apply rules in cfg/pure_server_minimal.txt only.
1 - Apply rules in cfg/pure_server_full .txt and then cfg/pure_server_thitelist.txt.
2 - Apply rules in cfg/pure_server_full.txt.

See cfg/pure_server_whitelist_example.txt for more details.

The server is using sv_pure 1. (Custom pure server rules.)

#18 Why can't we add a button? in TF2 General Discussion
tojoAnd we say that as if they won't change. Who knows dude. Let's make a fucking petition or something and maybe they will make a button that will link to playcomp.tf. We are probably just newer players in the comp tf2 community that want to believe but why not try.

probably

Look, I'm not just trying to shoot you down completely, but I think that if you spent maybe two or three weeks just sitting back and watching how everything goes, observing the flow of the TF.TV community, you'd understand the attitude and argument a lot better.

cerealpeople know that there is csgo right when they launch the game

I'm sure there is a lot of people who still do not know that there is comp tf2 and have over 100 hours

Counter Strike is kind of in an awkward position in this argument because the game was competitive from the start, and only very recently has it gained a casual following. Dota probably makes for a better argument, though the same words from your post could be said about it.

#4 Spy Knife and Disguise Kit Model in Customization

Switch to one of the affected weapons and check the value of r_drawviewmodel and viewmodel_fov in console, by simply typing those variables without any value. Report back here with those values.

#407 what's yo inches/360 in Off Topic
DanceNumberwhat is your DPI? make sure its the same in the website as your mouse.

I switch my sense between 14.4 and 16.3 depending on how i feel.

My DPI is 1500, the numbers on the site are correct. I tested them out in-game too and sure enough, it's only 1.1. It just feels like so much more.

#63 Newbie Mixes in Events
rAz3coaches guide the team through the match, and will help everyone on the team.Inco1 coach per team. They help with the team as well as any individual questions.

Alrighty cool, I'll swing by then.

#60 Newbie Mixes in Events
IncoThe coaches sit in with a team of newbies during a mix. They answer any questions that the newbies may have and teach them how to play the game.

Are there specialized coaches per-class, or do coaches just help anyone in general?

Hey, I was just wondering, what do the coaches actually do? Just trying to see if I'd fit the part.

scout

uhm

sensitivity "9.5"
m_yaw "0.022"

i think there's something in my mouse drivers skewing these stats

EDIT: just measured and it's actually 1.1in/360 is this normal?

#2 Maps crashing game in Q/A Help

I've noticed this too. I had it happening consistently in a lobby on Swiftwater the other night, but I HAVE had it happen in other maps too, though it's much rarer.

I launch with

-novid -nod3d9ex -window -noborder

but I don't use a graphics config, just settings I manually enter.

Here's my config.cfg if it'll help.

Also, Sigafoo had this happening to him on stream on pro_viaduct and Gullywash. He didn't crash, though.

I would really love to try and open these in SFM if someone can find the map files.

#3 PC keeps freezing in Hardware

Try reseating the GPU and reinstalling the graphics drivers. If that doesn't work, it's time to RMA.
