#4 Any help on identifying this hud? in Q/A Help

looks like one of the garm3n quake huds with the font replaced to be the TF2 one

edit: garm3n QL from like 2012 with TF2 default font instead of HandelGothic (the quake font)

#5 Saloon.tf survey in Projects

For #7 if there were multiple options I would have put the last three for sure, but I'm fine with most of the options. I wouldn't have said the first two personally as I would like to see these be universal features (for every user).

#16 TFTV Creating a New Crosshair Font in Customization

Something cool, only if you felt like it, would be to create a separate font file with outlines for all your crosshairs, scaled the same. So, in other words, one font file with the regular crosshairs, then another with an outline for that same crosshair. That way people who want an outlined crosshair don't need to rely on the pixelated tf2 font outlines. This would be cool specifically for the more basic crosshairs, the cross and the dot and stuff.

#7 TFTV Creating a New Crosshair Font in Customization

You should make your font file set up the same as whey's yahud crosshairs: they stay basically centered on any resolution/size. I'm not sure how he did it though, guess you could ask him.

#13 Source Engine Console Parser in Projects

Is there any console output when you take damage? If so you could potentially have a hud element that pops up when you have crit heals and disappears when you lose them.

AleXPretty nice collection! you should try to find even more mods that remove unecessary stuff like no hats mod and no unusual effects

those are both in the post.

#15 pizza hut causing rainforest destruction in Off Topic

Not sure I fully agree with the above. You make a good point: the people there aren't standing up for their own environment. However, having just returned from Ecuador, I can tell you first-hand that even in countries where there is a strong environmental consciousness the rainforest is still being destroyed, in large part due to the international corporations that provide locals with financial motivation to strip their land of resources (sometimes there almost isn't an alternative as the environment-exploiting industry provides higher wages than any other profession in the small towns: in Ecuador this was oil). I think both issues, large corporations and local indifference, need to be addressed.

#158 TF2 Feature Requests and Bug Fixes in TF2 General Discussion

I know they said improved crosshairs were coming but something else I'd love to see would be if valve made it so the directory "materials/vgui/crosshairs" is no longer checked by sv_pure. This would allow players to put any custom material they desire in the custom crosshairs folder, and, therefore, use the in-game commands to change size/color and swap between different crosshairs for different weapons. Requires minimal effort on Valve's part and pleases everyone: newer players could just download one of the many "improved default crosshairs" packs (many of which already exist) and could get their outlined, spinning, pony crosshairs, and experienced players can import crosshairs from other games or create their own.

#2 Highlander LFT sub forum? in Site Discussion

UGC does already fill that need but it certainly wouldn't be a bad thing, might make the site more accessible for newer players.

#12 AutoCamera in TF2 General Discussion

While I agree with the above I personally would love a little more variety in that regard, watching surfing medics get airshot or scouts jump into rockets is pretty cool too. As it is now, with the cheat feed, you start to expect the person who the camera is on to go on some huge run or hit some crazy shots. If instead of that the person you're spectating gets styled on that would still mean you caught the cool shot and it might add some spice. Personally, halfway through i52 I would almost know who was going to win the fight based on who the camera was on, and I agree with kevin that is does feel a little weird and takes a bit of the hype away at times. I think watching the fragged person like one out of every five/ten big airshots (does cheat feed show if it's a double?) could be a potential solution.
