#8 zowie scroll wheel issue in Hardware
InoWhile Zowie wheels aren't that good in general the problem with slow wheel turns not registering is due to the optical wheel encoders, like Bucake already said. It's inherent in the design. That being said, you have to scroll extremely slow for that effect to come into play. Is this just theoretical or do you actually scroll that slow?

I don't normally scroll that slow but I did today and was startled and thought that something inside of the mouse was broken but it looks like its just the optical encoder.
It's a shame cause I have an old deathadder lying around but i dont like the shape of it as much as the zowie, wish I could just morph the two into one and take the good scroll wheel from the da and put it on the za11. Thanks for the help

#3 zowie scroll wheel issue in Hardware
highperi have something just like this with my fk1, if i scroll slowly the page im scrolling on will go down very briefly then jump back to the position that it was previously in

for me its just that if i scroll slowly it doesnt register at all so the page stays where it is, but if i go quickly it will scroll normally

#1 zowie scroll wheel issue in Hardware

i think something's up with my scroll wheel because if I scroll slowly the wheel moves but there are no bumps and it doesn't register
if i scroll quickly (doing it up and down right now) it works fine
i remember reading before I bought it that the scroll wheels were bad
has anyone else had this type of issue before and is there any way to fix it, or do I need to buy a new mouse?

just look through the list and find some maps that you've completed and then look for new ones you haven't played at a similar tier

personally I like 4starters because it goes from super easy to decently hard

#19 Coaches at LAN in TF2 General Discussion

PUT ME IN COACH

trying to find the stream hoghlight where duwatna is using the in game coaching feature and watches someo e trickstabbed by a spy he tried to call

in all seriousness though I think this could be a really cool thing and though currently it may give certain teams unfair advantages I can definitely see value in it in the future at some point

not sure how helpful it would be for top level teams that have already established their calling roles and such but I feel like at lans you can already have people looking over the players' shoulders and cheering them on and such it's not too big a stretch to allow someone to do that with a laptop while being in mumble with the team. Not sure how I feel about something like this online... imagine playing in ESEA against a bad team with a super experienced player coaching then and micro managing the fuck out of them

Then again this is already possible to an extent when vetrans like CookieJake are allowed to sandbag open as the medic class and use their superior game sense and calling abilities to direct their teams full of open noobies like juicy...

#29 new rocket stacking meme exploit in The Dumpster
fade-neon_not new and at least tpn bans it on their servers, its done with a few console commands
what commands do you think it is lol

because it's not
fadehe said it was the hudreloadscheme freeze shit

it's not

maybe I misinterpreted your first comment but that made it seem like you were saying that it's not done with a few simple console commands (but then later on you say it's just manipulating host_framerate which seems to fall under the category of simple console commands)

fade-bearodactylwhy did you make a thread for this if you're not going to actually reveal how you did it? it's not a magic trick

I don't think this really affects anyone anyways lol, not sure why you're being so secretive about some dumb exploit

Only thing I can think of that would warrant this kind of a response would be if he's cheating (lol) or you're just incredibly autistic

i think i've already said how to do this

change host_framerate really fast and it lags you out like this

We have a winner

Edit: I didn't bother to click the link in the OP until now. You really expect people to watch an 11 minute video just so you can dick tease them about some useless jump trick? Maybe this is the kind of shit people would care about on jumper main forums, but afaik you can get banned from tempus servers for freeze glitching even if you're in timer disabled mode...

#14 Sensitivity. in Q/A Help

Sounds like you're thinking too much about this. As people have said your best bet is to choose something that feels nice (as in, not too much of an effort to turn around, not too fast that you feel you can't control your aim) and practice with it.I've only ever switched my sensitivity twice in all my time playing tf2 and even now I sometimes feel like I'm not used to my current sensitivity.
I know it's hard to hear but it takes time and the only way to build muscle memory is to practice.

#521 unpopular tf2 opinions in TF2 General Discussion
cozeni never got enough credit for how good i was. in my prime (elevate), i had really good movement, calls and aim. every team i was on improved significantly. i was always shadowed by a mixup medic or shade on a banny team.

you hit some insane surfs/arrows at whichever lan it was that you played with elevate
iirc everyone was super impressed by your performance, though you may not have gotten nearly enough credit when you played with 20b

#344 PugChamp in Projects
emperorI'm interested to know the thought process of why someone would add up on a class that they actually don't want to play. I'm inclined to think that the scenario where two players can swap to turn the tide of a very one-sided match is if they switched from a class where they had very little impact to one where they had significant impact. But if that's the case, why wasn't that particular player drafted in that main position to begin with? Did the captains just fail to pick that person on that class and explicitly chose to pick them on a weaker class?

Personally, I'm in favor of flexibility and free-form gameplay. But I do feel that because we have an ELO system in place means that players often will bias their decisions with the interest of winning/gaining rating, rather than pug balance. To that effect, by preventing players from playing classes they're not selected as, the onus is on captains to pick the right teams but at the same time both captains can pick players comfortably without having to think, "Did I make a bad choice because I didn't pick that player who added up on demo and not soldier, but is actually an invite soldier?"

I get what you're saying in that you shouldn't add on a class you don't want to play. One example that comes to mind for me is if two non soldier mains are both added on pocket and roamer and get picked on the same team and for whatever reason one of them wants to pocket more than the other one (perhaps its a scout main who likes using hitscan). Another case would be people like rick who frequently add up on every class because they don't really care what they play. Before one of the games started in mumble he asked me why I always pick him on pocket, and someone else who was good at multiple classes asked if he wanted to switch to scout. At the time I didn't consider the thought that it would be 'unfair' to switch the two because both players can play any class and if one of them thought they'd have more fun playing one than the other I wasn't going to stop them.
But in some cases things can get iffy, when players who are good at every class are picked early in drafts and then captains later realize they would be more suited playing another class. For example, a few days ago I first picked b4nny in a pug on scout and then once a few rounds of picking went by, realized that there were more good scouts than good roamers so I picked a scout main (vari) on roamer and asked if they were cool switching. There are lots of mind games and things that went into my first pick and had I predicted that all of the good soldiers would be gone I would have done my first pick differently, but since there were 3 mainclassing invite scouts (cyzer slemnish and b4nny) I figured it would be smart to get at least one of them (so as not to let the second pick get the other two and win the pug off of his scouts carrying). Also some people like rick often add up to multiple classes and prefer to play one but think they may not be picked if they only add on that class.
