nursey is a tf2 genius
CorsaIt's ideal to not require captaining if they add some type of ranking/experience system like they did for their csgo faceit system, similar to csgo's esea/cevo. It's way quicker, more efficient, and just as fair as captaining if done right.
true but then what do you do to get people to not just continue playing aidschamp all day?
last i checked 0 people signed up for the faceit cup but maybe everyone is queuing in the daily ladder
I would really like to see faceit create a captaining system similar to pugchamp (as a separate service from the ladders & cups they already have)
It doesn't even need to be complicated either it would just need to do a few things and it'd be fine
- let people add up on multiple classes which they wish to play (!add from irc)
- once two people add as captain the draft starts and people ready with the trumpet
- randomly determines which captain gets first pick
- determine who gets captain by who has played more games (or some simple metric like that)
- allow people to request subs and let the captains choose from the pool of applicants (so that if they message someone on their friends list they don't have to bait them and have the spot stolen)
- same map ban system as is used in faceit right now (perhaps with the addition of a few maps like metalworks)
honestly i think the faceit system is already 100x better than pugchamp this would surely make everyone make the switch
ok i got banned for 12 hours for aborting a draft because b4nny and johnmilter got afk'd
thanks tsc im glad you guys made the pointless penalty even more harsh instead of fixing your horse shit site
found a team for i58
plot twist: I'm playing scout
https://static-cdn.jtvnw.net/emoticons/v1/354/3.0
should probably get some practice so hmu if you need a scout ringer any time in the next few weeks (mainly to grind out dm, don't much care what div)
don't worry I'm not going to pull a saam and switch my main to scout so feel free to ring me as medic as well lol
from my experience tojo has a tendency to get high and then play like a retard and hope he can out dm people but he has pretty good rockets and jumps so if he can make himself slow down and actually think about what he's doing instead of auto-piloting he definitely has potential to do well in IM on roamer
so long as he's not the leader of the team he should be fine (also don't let him play with cereal again for the love of god you would think he would have learned his lesson in s18 with monkeysuit and me)
don't know if he's gotten better at this but if i recall he got frustrated fairly easily and wasn't the most mature in that sense but I haven't played with him in 5 seasons so what do i know
casual is the best
got the privilege of playing with him on my first ever tf2 team before it died and i realized highlander sucks
[*] goodnight sweet prince
-protono, soldier is the easiest and most powerful class in the game. absolutely baffles me whenever i see people claim scout is easier or more powerful.
Great article, should be entertaining to see how things fold out for 3rd and 4th spots as well as between 1st and 2nd.
VandbearodactylI don't surf much but is this basically like the jump bot plugin?
May be helpful to have recordings that aren't records so new players can see how certain stages are done without speedrun strats/shortcuts.
Could definitely find it confusing getting to figure out how to do a stage but all you can see is some super difficult strategy and not the way it's designed to be done.
That should already exist with the !showme feature on most surf maps on the ReSurfed network. Pretty sure that just showed a normal run-through of a stage or even an entire linear map.
Ah my bad guess that shows how little I surf haha. Sound's like a neat feature in addition to showme then
Unrelated but does windows 10 give better fps than 7 or 8? I haven't bothered to upgrade (or rather reinstall to avoid bugs and whatnot) from 8.1 but may do so if there are real performance boosts.

new headphones hype
I want to help with this but I don't know if I'll have enough time to dedicate to the game in general not to mention another team :(
If there's anything I can do before the summers over I'm happy to help review demos or something for teams looking to play. Hopefully I'll get around to coaching newbie mixes at some point again.
