#2 G400s Default dpi in Hardware
vanillaI set my G400s to 800 dpi using the logitech software, however when I start my computer up or unplug, then replug my mouse back in (I play on a macbook, fyi), the dpi is different (higher). If I start up the logitech software, then it goes back to 800 dpi. Does anyone know what the default dpi is of the mouse? I'd rather not have to turn on the software every single time I want the dpi to be correct, so I'd rather just set my dpi to whatever the default is and not worry about it.

2000 DPI is default I believe, or 1,800 can't really remember which. You can also press the - button 1 time and it's 800 dpi lol.

edit

Default steps are 400, 800, 2000, 4000 with 2000 being the true default.

#15 Educating the masses in TF2 General Discussion
pl3xUsing the playcomp.tf tag and asking about comp during pub games has netted me a total of 0 people adding me or asking about it and a total of 3 or 4 people saying that it was a phishing link, 2 people saying that I was an asshole, and 1 person looking it up and saying "it gave me viruses." Truly le master trole xD.

I've got about 3 people to add me, and ask about it, but I'm also a regular on a few pubs so basically everyone knows me there. Also a sniper main which is honestly a pretty show off class so it could just be that difference as well.

I do agree though that playing to someones ego and telling them more about comp tf2 is far more likely to get people to start playing and being interested though.

#53 New Perspective in TF2 General Discussion

BTW, Reaching out to skial will almost certainly will not work cause Bottiger (site owner) actually seems to hate competitive TF2 as he has said to me in the past that comp. players tend to no longer play on Skial servers (not true), disable ads if they stay (almost certainly true), and even refuses to support the UGC HL team that is made up almost entirely of Skial admins.

SpannzerComangliaSpannzer16jacobjDon't want to necro, but is anyone else who preordered annoyed or doubting their decision? It seems like bst rarely updates, and it was supposed to go out early November...Some stuff happened with the shipping that's out of bst's hands, so I don't care about the wait. The lack of updates from bst is kind of annoying, but honestly I couldn't care less. It's out of his hands, the most he can do is shrug and repeat that. People need to learn some patience, delays happen :>
IDK I'm pretty annoyed not that I haven't received the mice or anything but that their hasn't been anything said in over 2 weeks.

I've even opened a support ticket about a week ago as just inquiry on what was going on. No, response. Ninox and bst have the least amount of customer service I've ever had to deal with...
What more can he honestly say other than "it's out of my hands"?

Say it's still out of his hands after 2 weeks and he believes they be shipped in 2 more weeks? or x company is delaying for x reason, sorry.

This is what I expect^

#10 144 hz right for me? in Hardware
Zza_ComangliaFor other games you should definitely get a new GPU, I've owned a 6850 most new games on medium settings you'll get like 40-50fps thus not much of a benefit.
Any recommendations? Are AMDs still good quality for a budget?

AMD GPUs if you're going for Price/Performance are usually the best option especially in the $100-$200 Range.

I would highly suggest that you watch prices tonight and tomorrow for GPUs (Especially on Newegg) or wait for Cyber Monday to find a good deal for a GPU.

Just make sure you have the power supply to support a new card just incase cause I just got a 270x that needed two 6 pin power cables luckily I had 2 but just be aware.

wareyaYou'll notice the difference with even like 60fps. The frame to screen latency goes from 0 to 16 ms to 0 to 7 ms.

60Hz IPS monitors at their best are at about 24ms between frames at the dead center of the screen their average is more like 30-35ms

144Hz TN is about 8ms at the center of the screen, on average it's more like 11-14ms

60Hz TN is about 18ms at center, and about 22-26ms on average.

Keep in mind I am counting time between each refresh^

To the OP

For TF2 at least you should try getting your CPU to be around 4.0GHz to have a really stable 180+ FPS (I'm talking 24 people in a server btw)

For other games you should definitely get a new GPU, I've owned a 6850 most new games on medium settings you'll get like 40-50fps thus not much of a benefit.

#41 2007 Team Fortress 2 (aka Orange Box) Client/Serve in TF2 General Discussion
GetawhaleeeeGetawhaleRight. If I paid for a game, I can download a ripped version a million times. eee seems to be the one that doesn't understand copyright law.in what way is downloading an extra copy of a game not piracy?
please explain

It seems you are correct. While US copyright law does provide for creating a backup copy of a piece of software, that does not apply in the same way if you are downloading a copy somebody else made.

This has piqued my interest now and I'm going to email Valve out of curiosity and see what their view on it is.

Sorry, I never meant to derail the shit out of this

Honestly valve is a pretty open company and TF2 is already F2P, so long as the people who are giving this out are not profiting than I think valve would be cool with it, but idk.

smoboi just want to benchmark it

just realized that their's basically no way to properly benchmark this, demos from 2007 don't work now, and demos from now wouldn't work for a 2007 build.

-edit-
you ninja'd me but yeah even then that's pretty anecdotal, out of interest can you see if -dxlevel 71 works for the 2007 build?
